Vintage Glamorous St. Pete Beach Wedding | Don CeSar Hotel Wedding
Tiffany and Thomas’ vintage glam 1920’s inspired St. Pete Beach wedding featured a vintage Hollywood theme and a navy blue, ivory and gold color palette.
“I am absolutely in love with the roaring 20’s era, and one of my favorite shows at the time was Downton Abbey,” the bride shared. Tom said that bow ties were a must at the wedding, so I thought how perfect would it be to have a vintage roaring 20’s “old Hollywood” wedding and even get the guests involved.

The bride and groom incorporated gold chargers, chiavari chairs and tall candelabra centerpieces from Tampa Bay rental and decor company A Chair Affair to set the mood for the holiday weekend wedding.
“We love to have a good time, and we wanted our wedding to be a fun, huge party, so we thought what better time to get married then New Year’s Eve weekend giving us and our guests multiple nights to celebrate,” the bride beamed. “It couldn’t have been more fun!”
The Sarasota couple chose to wed at St. Pete Beach wedding venue The Don CeSar, which offered their guests a vacation getaway coupled with their wedding celebration.
“The Don CeSar was the first place we looked at outside of Sarasota, and as soon as I saw it I just knew it was the place,” Tiffany explained. “The Don has beach access, is beautiful, close to the airport, is resort style with no need to rent a car and is an amazing New Year’s Eve party for those who stayed the weekend! It was perfect!”
Looking back, the bride’s most cherished memory was the first dance with her husband.
“The most memorable moment to me was our first dance with all our friends and family standing around us. The amount of love that was in the room was overwhelming!” the bride reminisced. “Tom’s most memorable moment was when I surprised him by singing to him, accompanied by his teenage niece who played the guitar. He had no idea we had planned on doing that, and he never had even heard me sing before.”
The Proposal:
It was very intimate, just us two on a normal Saturday on our boat. We went a little further then usual, where it was just us in the middle of the ocean. All of a sudden a school of dolphins came and started playing by the boat so close that you could almost touch them. I went to the bow of the boat to get a little closer and turned around to tell Tom to get the camera. When I turned around, he was there on one knee! It was magical and emotional all at the same time! Tom jokes about how he ordered dolphins and orchestrated the whole thing (he didn’t). It was just perfect timing in every aspect!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We wanted something that would accommodate all of our guests especially the ones traveling from out-of-town. We also wanted it to be a vacation getaway for them, not just to go to a wedding for the night.
Tom had always talked about how he loved The Don CeSar and how he would take me there one day as I had never been. The Don was the first place we looked at outside of Sarasota and as soon as I saw it I just knew it was the place. It has beach access, is beautiful, close to the airport, is resort style with no need to rent a car and is an amazing New Year’s Eve party for those who stayed the weekend! It was perfect!
How would you describe your theme?
I am absolutely in love with the roaring 20’s era, and one of my favorite shows at the time was Downton Abbey. Tom said that bow ties were a must at the wedding, so I thought how perfect would it be to have a vintage roaring 20’s “old Hollywood” wedding and even get the guests involved.
What were your colors?
Navy blue, ivory and gold because it was a winter wedding, and we just loved the color scheme.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Enjoy the planning process, and give yourself plenty of time to plan. Enjoy every moment, breathe and take the whole day in, it goes by so fast!
