Combining a contemporary vibe and whimsical decor, this St. Petersburg wedding design team combined accents of metallics and pops of pink to complement the modern appeal of one of downtown’s newest wedding venues, the Hyatt Place Downtown St. Pete.
“Our inspiration for this styled shoot came from a desire to show that an ordinary ballroom meeting space could instantly be transformed into something absolutely spectacular,” Hyatt Place Catering Sales Manager, Kirbie Caruso explained. “We really wanted to do something that could showcase the versatility of the location but appeal to all different types of styles.”
Creating a romantic yet vibrant look, florist Brides N Blooms Designs and specialty rentals Outside the Box Event Rentals constructed a hanging floral wall ceremony backdrop and added an infusion of color resulting in a magical ambiance.
“We chose metallics as a base, but incorporated a color palette of whites, greens, and pops of color,” Dorelle Raphael-Fishkin of Brides N Blooms Designs shared. “When selecting our colors, we felt as though a combination that consisted of mostly neutral shades could help couples imagine what their designs could look like at the Hyatt Place Downtown St. Pete without any emphasis on the season.”
Complementing the floral design accents, A&P Design Co. created a simplistic wedding invitation suite that perfectly tied together with the four-tiered blush pink wedding cake with gold-leaf accents designed by St. Pete wedding bakery The Artistic Whisk. Capturing the details down to the first look, wedding photographer Kristen Marie Photography made the couple feel like a natural in front of the camera, while A Peachy Life Productions brought the day to life on video.
Floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded the entrance to the ballroom letting in an abundance of natural lighting, which showcased the bride flawless look with natural makeup from LDM Beauty Group and lace wedding dress from Nikki’s Glitz and Glam Boutique.
