Katie and Tyler’s rustic Plant City wedding was the epitome of whimsical garden elegance with fresh florals, elegant centerpieces, and charming details. The bride and groom’s vision came to life with a romantic color palette of navy blue, cranberry, and gold, perfect for their fall nuptials.
“If I had to describe our venue it would be whimsical. From the gorgeous canopy of mossy oak trees to the enchanting ceremony site with trickling stream in the backdrop, it was perfect,” the bride gleamed. “Being an October wedding, I knew I wanted to incorporate the beautiful colors of fall. What truly sealed the deal was the beautiful color combination of berry, sequined gold, and navy blue bridesmaids dresses. I immediately fell in love and was able to incorporate the colors into all other elements of the wedding. I still get butterflies when I see how beautiful my bridesmaids looked in their dresses and those florals!”
Planning their destination Florida wedding all the way from Hawaii, the bride and groom both agreed they needed a reputable wedding DJ who could keep the party going.
“I stumbled upon Graingertainment while browsing online, and they had five stars across the board,” Katie shared. “From the ceremony to the reception, Our DJ, Anthony was amazing! Tyler and I definitely busted out some of our best moves as we walked down the aisle after being pronounced Mr. and Mrs. We love to dance! The night was extra special and all of our guests had so much fun!’
Envisioning a gorgeous naked cake with fresh florals, the couple turned to iconic Tampa Bay bakery Alessi Bakeries to turn their vision into a reality.
“Since we were nearly halfway across the world, I really wanted vendors that were experienced and trustworthy,” the bride shared. “Alessi Bakeries was a recommended vendor of our venue, and they did not disappoint! They were wonderful to work with, and the entire process was seamless.”
Looking back on their special day, the bride cherished taking in every moment and reaction from the ceremony.
“For me, the ceremony, hands down was truly memorable. Everything from walking down the aisle with my dad to seeing the expression on my soon-to-be husband’s handsome face meant everything,” the bride reminisced. “It was also extra special looking out seeing all the emotion of our friends and family. It truly was beautiful.”

The Proposal:
Tyler was enlisted in the Navy at the time and had just returned from his final deployment aboard the USS Columbus nuclear submarine. Seeing as how it had been months since we had spent any time together at all, Tyler planned a trip for us to San Francisco. During one of our the days there, we ventured into wine country to sip on all of the finest wines. Our last stop was at Jacuzzi Winery in Sonoma Valley where we stumbled upon their beautiful vineyard, and Tyler decided that this was the spot! I totally thought he was joking as the engagement jokes had run dry and told him to get up, but when I saw the beautiful rose gold Tacori ring he was holding, I knew it was the real deal. We put the ring on backward, and I said “Yes!”
