Shannon and Jeff’s Tampa Heights rooftop wedding featured an intimate setting of vibrant colors, modern elements and punches of citrus.
“I love Moroccan colors. I’ve always been drawn to Moroccan-inspired designs and colors.” the bride shared. “We had lots of bright colors, pinks, oranges, green velvet, and gold.”
Having originally planned a larger event prior to the pandemic, the bride and groom shifted to move forward with their wedding and host a smaller affair with 20 guests.
“At first, we were planning a big wedding with around 125 guests and then COVID happened. I am really happy we went with a smaller wedding. It was less stressful and just perfect,” Shannon revealed. “Go with your own comfort or your own vision. I think I conformed to what I thought I was supposed to have (which was a big wedding) but in the end, we both were happy we did a small intimate wedding.”
The Tampa couple made the smart decision of hiring a wedding planner and searched for someone who was “easy to work with and had a fun personality.”

Despite reducing their guest count by over 80 percent, the couple didn’t hold back on the wedding day experience. Their rooftop ceremony overlooked the downtown Tampa skyline and featured a metallic arch covered with vibrant florals. The clear acrylic Chiavari chairs from Kate Ryan Event Rentals blended in seamlessly allowing their surroundings and flowers to be the focal point.
Since the couple decided to proceed with their October wedding they made sure to focus on the personal touches, including hand-scribed agate place cards and a live musician.
“Our wedding was small and intimate with close friends and family,” Shannon reminisced. “Reading our vows was the most memorable moment.”
The Proposal:
Jeff proposed was in the privacy of our own home. I was completely shocked and taken by surprise. Both of us don’t really love too much attention, and it was the perfect setting.
What did you look for in a wedding furniture rental company?
The wedding planner helped us when working with Kate Ryan Event Rentals, but I liked the idea of acrylic-looking chairs.

We actually chose not to go on one because of COVID. We are going to hold out until we can travel overseas.
