Silver, Blush, and Mint Green Wedding | Countryside Country Club
Andrea and Gaston’s country club wedding was inspired by the bride’s Italian heritage.
“I was inspired by photos of Tuscan gardens [for my] romantic garden elegance wedding,” the bride shared. “Our ceremony was on a beautiful green golf course with open blue skies. For the reception, I included strands of garden lights draped above the dance floor, classic pieces, like the tall silver vases and rich greenery for the centerpieces, accented by blush garden roses, pink spray roses, and white hydrangeas.”
The Tampa couple hosted a nearby Clearwater wedding so that their families could be a part of their big day.
“I am Sicilian and Gaston is Cuban, so we kept the ceremony as traditional as possible for an outside wedding,” Andrea explained. “It was the first wedding in our families that wasn’t done at a church. We were surprised by the wonderful feedback from our families, being that the majority of them are Catholic.”
The pair chose Clearwater wedding venue Countryside Country Club for its stunning outdoor ceremony space.
“We looked for a wedding venue that had both inside and outside aspects. Our Countryside Country Club ceremony outside was breathtaking. It was the perfect day for a wedding, with a beautiful blue and green backdrop,” the bride gushed. “I loved how the reception space had windows from floor to ceiling, so you had views of the golf course. It felt like you were enjoying the outdoors, with the comfort of being inside.”
Looking back, one of Andrea’s most memorable moments was reliving the emotions she felt during her wedding ceremony.
“We felt calm and peaceful, and the day turned out to be beautiful. It looked as if it was going to rain all day, but at 6 p.m. there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. When we look back at the pictures, we feel so blessed to have such beautiful memories,” the bride reminisced. “Walking in as husband and wife was the greatest feeling! Everyone was cheering; you could feel the love in the room.”
Why did you look for in a wedding venue?
We looked for a wedding venue that had both inside and outside aspects. Our Countryside Country Club ceremony outside was breathtaking. It was the perfect day for a wedding, with a beautiful blue and green backdrop. I loved how the reception space had windows from floor to ceiling, so you had views of the golf course. It felt like you were enjoying the outdoors, with the comfort of being inside.
I was able to customize the space to my liking and that flexibility was very appealing to us. The catering and the service were handled by the country club, which was a huge factor in booking the club. It was less for us to coordinate and that made us feel at ease.
The Proposal:
Gaston planned a romantic weekend at our favorite beach spot. We went out to enjoy the sunset, and he had a blanket set up with wine and flowers. Gaston buried a bottle right in front of us and inside was a beautiful note describing our relationship for the past nine months. When I got to the end, he was on one knee with a gorgeous three carat ring! I was completely surprised; I had no idea it was coming, even after reading the note. We both were crying and laughing. It was such a magical moment between us.
How would you describe your theme?
Romantic garden inspired elegance. My family is Italian, so I was inspired by photos of Tuscan gardens. Our ceremony was on a beautiful green golf course with open blue skies. For the reception, I included strands of garden lights draped above the dance floor, classic pieces, like tall silver vases and candle votives, bright white tablecloths and silver chargers, rich greenery, like lemon leaf for the centerpieces and accent greenery inserted in the table napkin and lush white chocolate roses, blush garden roses, pink spray roses and white hydrangeas.
What were your colors?
White, silver, blush pink and mint green. I kept the reception in neutral colors, with small hints of blush pink and mint green, so it wasn’t too girlie.
