Kathryn and Cameron’s romantic downtown St. Pete wedding combined neutral shades of creamy white and subtle blush pink with timeless floral arrangements of garden roses, fluffy hydrangeas, and delicate greenery amidst a classic, elegant ballroom setting.
“I always pictured the big day as timeless, elegant, and traditional, so it was essential to keep those elements,” the bride shared. “We chose neutral shades of white, dusty rose, and silver with pops of green from our florals. The colors naturally went very well with our venue and also happened to be all my favorites.”
Kathryn elected to share an intimate moment with her father pre-ceremony and a last dance with her new husband. Those meaningful traditions stood out as a few favorite moments from the celebration.
“I did a first look with my dad, and it was so special. That was the first moment of the day when it all suddenly hit me that I would be walking down the aisle within the next hour. It was amazing having that special moment with my dad, and I will cherish that forever,” the bride beamed. “Although we started the reception with our first dance, we also ended the night with a last dance. It felt so special ending the night this way with our family and friends around us.”
Clusters of snowball hydrangea with cascading ribbon adorned the ceremony aisle pews of the cathedral, and were later repurposed as stylish chair accents for wedding party seating at the head table. Coordinating arrangements of fluffy hydrangea and soft pink roses accented with eucalyptus greenery decorated each dining table along with chic taper candles and votives for a romantic ambiance. Rose blossoms also appeared on the tiers of the classic three-tier wedding cake, echoing the soft color scheme and cohesive flora throughout the celebration.
Kathryn and Cameron relied on DJ Ben Daniele from Grant Hemond & Associates to keep the dance floor packed throughout the evening.
“My sister and brother-in-law used Grant Hemond & Associates, and we loved their DJ. He had an incredible personality; I specifically remember feeling so nervous to give my Maid of Honor speech, and Ben checked in with me and gave me a quick pep talk before I took over the mic. As the reality of the moment set in during the ceremony processional, Kathryn was overcome with emotion. The sheer joy of the experience was evident in her beaming smile throughout the day.
“I will never forget when the doors opened, and my dad began walking me down the aisle. I could see my husband-to-be standing by the altar, and I remember how much my cheeks were hurting from how big my smile was! After a long morning of combating nerves and anxiousness, it was just the best feeling once I made it down the aisle and joined hands with Cameron,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
We were celebrating our first anniversary and were walking through Vinoy Park when I stopped to watch some dolphins swimming by in the Bay. I was already all giddy from that when Cameron got down on one knee.
Where did you spend your honeymoon?
We went to Maui for 12 days and loved it! It was the perfect balance of a relaxing and adventurous vacation.
Where did you host your bachelorette party?
My sister/Matron of Honor and my amazing bridesmaids planned my bachelorette trip! We went to Charleston, South Carolina. I had never been to Charleston, so we had the best weekend exploring the city.
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Enjoy the wedding planning process. It can be stressful but try to remember that it’s all for celebrating the love you have with your partner and the start of your lives together as a married couple.
Stay present on the wedding day and soak up every minute. If something doesn’t go the way you originally planned, don’t stress about it! The day is about celebrating your love for each other, so it’s okay if a few things don’t go to plan. You won’t remember that one or twenty years later, anyway.
