Sweet southern elegance and charm paired with touches of romance combined to create a modern day Gone With the Wind fairytale Sarasota wedding in this styled inspiration shoot.
From the old wooden church pews to the stunning backdrop of the rustic wedding venue’s ceremony site, this styled wedding shoot detailed old Southern charm in a perfectly elegant way.
“As a southern girl raised in the heart of North Carolina, I wanted to bring a bit of that true southern elegance to weddings,” designer and planner Jennifer Buono of Bourbon and Blush Events shared. “I wanted to inspire brides to tastefully incorporate southern aspects into their wedding without setting the stage for hay rides.”
Keeping with the elegance of this southern inspired wedding, Jennifer searched for a unique Sarasota wedding venue with character and charm.
“The cascading oaks enhanced this romantic setting organically. The iron wrought wooden doors for the ceremony site were the perfect place to showcase the original oak vintage church pews. The hand carved wooden bar and iron balcony were the perfect touches for an incredible floral display,” the planner explained.
One of the showstoppers of the shoot was the stunning wedding dress from Blush Bridal Sarasota; it’s the perfect gown for a southern princess or debutante.
“The true magic came from the chiffon Amsale bridal ball gown paired with the crimson sofa,” Jennifer gushed.
How would you describe your theme?
I wanted to create real inspiration that brides could relate to by incorporating Southern elegance with touches of rustic decor. It was there that our romantic southern inspiration was born.
What were your colors?
I love colors that incorporate a warm palate of soft ivory, blush and earthy greens with pops of color. For our shoot, we decided our colors would tell a romantic story with berry reds, deep blues, warm neutrals and hints of gold!
How much would you estimate this wedding would cost for 150 guests in the Tampa Bay area?
Between $45,000 and $50,000.
