Kim and Tommy’s luxurious destination Sarasota wedding featured glamourous mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, pink velvet vintage furniture, and a fully draped outdoor tent dripping in chandeliers, transforming their outdoor venue into a romantic garden party that embraced nature’s beauty.
“Our colors were light pink, white, and gold. These colors were necessary to pull off the romantic feeling that we wanted to capture,” the bride explained. “We always wanted something romantic that matched the style of our venue. The gardens were the perfect backdrop to incorporate natural elements with classic touches. There is nothing better than being surrounded by beautiful flowers and banyan trees that are draped with chandeliers.”
The Austin couple looked to Marry Me Tampa Bay for decor ideas for their sophisticated garden soiree.
“Marry Me Tampa Bay’s content was fantastic, and we used it to help guide our inspiration,” Kim beamed. “We wanted to set an elegant environment for our guests to remember, while also allowing them to enjoy themselves in a nice relaxed outdoor environment.”
To help plan their Florida destination wedding, the bride and groom sought a local wedding planner who was highly reputable in Sarasota and had the organizational skills to orchestrate an elaborate affair.
“We wanted someone extremely organized and knowledgeable about the area. Because we were planning the wedding remotely, we wanted someone who could make our dreams come to fruition from afar,” the bride gushed. “Nicole and NK Productions has an impeccable reputation. She and her entire team were phenomenal. We know we couldn’t have done this without them. They made us feel so secure and comfortable, especially when planning a wedding remotely.
To create a cohesive and smooth wedding day experience, NK Productions planned two spaces for the outdoor reception in the event of inclement weather. Guests were given picturesque clear umbrellas to shield from the occasional drizzle, while white floral arrangements dangled from the moss-covered trees. After the ceremony in front of the banyan trees, guests were escorted to an enchanting tented reception on the South Lawn of Selby Gardens. Elegant crystal chandeliers paired with romantic floral decor created the romantic ambiance the couple envisioned.
“Even when it came to the day of and a potential storm, Nicole and the team were able to take charge and ensure that our wedding vision would be adaptable in any scenario,” the bride shared. “I cannot imagine the chaos that might have occurred had we not chosen NK Productions. They took the stress off of us to allow us to enjoy our big day.”
Looking back on their whirlwind wedding weekend, so many memorable moments stood out for Kim.
“Each day had a great memory for us. The ceremony location was so magical. The way our florist set everything up made something that is already beautiful, even better. Our after-party DJ was a blast, and he was the cherry on top of the perfect night. And our friend tropical storm Nestor is something we wouldn’t forget,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
The proposal took place in New Orleans, which is one of my favorite cities. Tommy had a surprise photographer to capture the moment, which was in front of the St. Louis Cathedral.
