South Tampa’s chicest new wedding venue, Hyde House, is officially open, and we’ve got a sneak peek with this whimsical art deco-inspired styled shoot featuring muted pastels and black accents. Looking to complement the open concept and outdoor terrace overlooking Hyde Park Village, the design team included creative elements that brought to life the reception space.
“Our theme was art deco with muted pastels. We really wanted a simple and elegant theme that was still eye-catching and fun,” Angela Galecki, Event Manager of Hyde House, shared. “Hyde House is so unique and inviting with fun furnishings and an open floor plan. It was a blast customizing the space for our vision.”

With whimsical colors of rose, peach, cream, and pops of lavender, South Tampa wedding florist Monarch Events and Designs created a fairytale bouquet and pillars of greenery and unique florals that brought texture and depth to the event space. Kate Ryan Event Rentals set the stage for a welcoming reception with their modern art-deco bone china plates, gold flatware, and gold rim crystal glassware. To finish the reception design, The Artistic Whisk captivated the shoot with a five-tiered square modern wedding cake adorned with textured elements and pastel florals.

What are your favorite features about Hyde House?
The outdoor veranda is such a beautiful open space for a ceremony, we really love the open yet intimate vibe.
How would you describe your theme?
Our theme was art deco with muted pastels. We really wanted a simple and elegant theme that was still eye-catching and fun.
What were your colors?
Muted pastels and black. Think muted tones of rose, peach, cream, and lavender with dark pops. We love the art deco look, but wanted a softer color palette. The antique, muted tones we chose just fit perfectly with our vision.
