Lakeland Wedding | Rocking H Ranch Wedding
Rosamaria and Virgilio focused on a beautiful outdoor setting and authentic Spanish cuisine for their Lakeland wedding.
“We chose Lakeland because we have decided to have our wedding on a ranch,” the bride explained. “It was important to us to use our own vendors and to make our wedding unforgettable.”
The Oldsmar couple hosted their outdoor wedding at rustic Lakeland venue Rocking H Ranch.
“We fell in love the minute we walked. Rocking H Ranch is a paradise. It is the most amazing venue we had visited. It is rustic, elegant and the staff is really amazing,” Rosamaria gushed. “The best part is that we used our own vendors and musicians.”
The bride incorporated her Peruvian heritage through the food and entertainment.
“Viscaya Restaurant’s performance of making a paella in front of everyone, while a Spanish guitar musician played in the background made our wedding unique,” the bride shared. “After dinner, we played traditional Peruvian music.”
Looking back, one of Rosamaria’s most memorable moments came during the wedding reception.
“During the first dance, Virgilio surprised me with my favorite song from a Peruvian singer. I started crying,” the bride reminisced.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
Everything. It was important to us to use our own vendors and to make our wedding unforgettable.
Rocking H Ranch is a paradise. We fell in love the minute we walked. It is the most amazing venue we had visited in the entire area of Lakeland. It is rustic, elegant and the staff is really amazing. The owner, Angela, is a real angel and knows all about weddings. She goes the extra mile. The best part is that we used our own vendors and musicians.
The Proposal:
Virgilio planned a family reunion; all my family and close friends came to his house. It was around Easter, so all the kids were hunting eggs, and he had the best idea to hide my ring inside of an Easter egg. My nephew handed me an egg, and there it was, my beautiful emerald ring.
How would you describe your theme?
Vintage. It was perfect with the venue. Virgilio and I loved the idea of having long Italian tables, decorated with wine boxes and floral arrangements centerpieces.
What were your colors?
Soft pink and mint went perfect with the burlap decoration.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
Choose your wedding venue carefully, and budget to have a massage a week before. If everything does not come out the way you want, relax. Your guests will not notice!
