Destination Clearwater Beach Wedding | Carlouel Yacht Club Wedding
Stephanie and Bric’s destination Clearwater Beach wedding featured an outdoor beachfront wedding ceremony, elegant gold and pink reception and a boat send off.
“Being on the beach and by the water was a big influence in how we wanted to set the tone,” the bride shared. “Clearwater Beach seemed like a great destination wedding spot for our spring wedding,”
The Atlanta couple hosted a Clearwater wedding, as it’s the groom’s hometown, and made the reception atmosphere a top priority.
“The band, setting and our guests were the most important elements of our wedding day,” Stephanie explained. “The focus on ‘fun’ was probably a little different than most weddings. Rituals like cutting the cake were done early in the evening and quickly so that everyone continued partying.”
The bride and groom searched for a seasoned Clearwater Beach wedding photographer.
“We wanted a photographer with a lot of experience who would capture the moments, but also not drag us away from our friends and family the whole night,” the bride said. “Limelight Photography had an excellent reputation with proven track record of class and professionalism.”

Looking back, one of Stephanie’s most memorable moments was saying her “I Dos.”
“The ceremony on the beach was beautiful. Having Bric’s childhood, Father John, made it special and light hearted,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
We love Colorado during Christmas time so on New Year’s Eve, Bric got a private skiing lesson for me in the morning, then picked me up at the bottom of the mountain. He said he wanted to go up to Bon Vivant, an outdoor restaurant near the top of the mountain.
I found out later that Bric had set it up with the Maître D’ to have the best corner table waiting for us. A bottle of wine was brought out with a ring tied to it. Bric got down on one knee and popped the question and for one of the first times in my life, I was speechless for a minute, but then obviously said, “Yes!” Several of Bric’s family members were secretly watching nearby and then joined for a fun lunch. The party kept going until midnight to ring in the new year!
What were your colors?
Gold and petal pink.
What was your theme?
Being on the beach and by the water was a big influence in how we wanted to set the tone. We really didn’t have a theme; it was just about having as much fun of a wedding as possible with our friends and family. Getting a great band was very important for us because we wanted everyone to be on the dance floor the whole time.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We wanted a photographer with a lot of experience who would capture the moments, but also not drag us away from our friends and family the whole night.
Limelight Photography had an excellent reputation with proven track record of class and professionalism.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Think about what the most important things are to you and your fiancé. You can’t have it all, so boil it down to just a few really important things and then focus on making those memorable.
