Angielique and Ryan’s Tampa garden wedding featured a chic, sunlit ceremony and modern luxe reception. The bride and groom’s love of their hometown and their toy poodle puppy inspired their luxurious white, pink, and grey wedding on famed Bayshore Boulevard.
“Our theme was garden-glam. We wanted our ceremony to be in a garden outside in the cool September weather facing Bayshore,” the bride explained. “For the reception, we wanted glam and incorporated all white and mirrors and pink uplighting to give it its ‘glam feel.’ Marry Me Tampa Bay helped us vision the glam reception ideas.”

As an homage to Tampa’s history, Angielique and Ryan incorporated local details creating an entertaining experience for their 175 guests.
“What made our wedding unique was the ‘Tampa feel.’ We had cigar rolling overlooking Bayshore Blvd and a Spanish guitar player and cello player during the ceremony/cocktail hour which was wonderful to have live music in the nice September breeze outside,” the bride beamed.
The couple shared that their favorite wedding vendor was hands-down Tampa wedding photographer Shauna and Jordon Photography, describing their relationship with them as a “match made in heaven.”
“They went above and beyond for their clients,” Ryan gushed. “The price was definitely worth everything they did for us, and they just blew our expectations out of the water. We consider them family now and look forward to continuing our relationship with them.”

When it came time to pick the perfect dress, Angielique gained inspiration from her Quinceanera, which also featured a grey and pink color palette.
“Truly Forever Bridal has the biggest warehouse of selections, and I wasn’t sure on what style would suit me so I just wanted to try them all on,” the bride reminisced. “My experience was amazing, I walked out the same day with ‘the dress.’ Alterations were also done there, and they were the sweetest; they made me feel as I were part of the family every time I came in.”

The pair adore their furbaby, Titolina, and wanted to include her in their special day.
“FairyTail Pet Care took care of all the details, making sure our princess was well taken care of from beginning to end. Titolina was there during both of our getting ready photos, the ceremony (walking down the aisle with our junior bridesmaids), and she also stayed for the cocktail hour, greeting our guests before she safely made it back home,” the couple shared.

Looking back on their wedding day, it is no surprise that Angielique and Ryan’s most memorable moment was centered around family.
“Celebrating during the reception with close family and friends and people that matter in our lives [was] such an amazing and happy moment for us to see everyone else happy for us,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
I had been talking with Angielique about rings and what kind of style she liked, so we had gone to our jeweler, Scott Shear, who was fantastic and does amazing work. The proposal took place at the New Year’s Eve Rooftop in downtown Tampa. I had been coordinating with the venue management, hosting a party, and the DJ in regards to making this happen. Obviously, it ended up being a successful and every lasting memory of ours.
How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
We incorporated both our personalities into the wedding by including Titolina. Titolina is our one-year-old, very energetic apricot toy poodle.
FairyTail Pet Care took care of all the details, making sure our princess was well taken care of from beginning to end. Titolina was there during both of our getting ready photos, the ceremony (walking down the aisle with our junior bridesmaids), and she also stayed for the cocktail hour, greeting our guests before she safely made it back home. We even had Titolina as our signature cocktail named “Tito-lina.” It was mojito-inspired and included: Tito’s vodka, prickly pear syrup, lime juice, ginger beer, mint, and strawberry garnish.
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Our theme was garden-glam. We wanted our ceremony to be in a garden outside in the cool September weather facing Bayshore. For the reception, we wanted glam and incorporated all white and mirrors and pink uplighting to give it its “glam feel”.
What were your colors?
Grey and pink. We had chosen those colors because those were the colors of the Angielique’s parents’ wedding, her Quinceanera, and we also loved the way the pink and the grey popped in the green garden ceremony and white glam reception space.
What was your wedding dress inspiration?
I was inspired by my Quinceanera dress. Truly Forever Bridal has the biggest warehouse of selections, and I wasn’t sure on what style would suit me so I just wanted to try them all on. My experience was amazing, I walked out the same day with “the dress.” Alterations were also done there, and they were the sweetest; they made me feel as I were part of the family every time I came in.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We didn’t have any real expectations with a photographer, and when Angielique’s friends and another “Cooney Couple,” introduced us to Shauna and Jordon, it was a match made in heaven. Shauna and Jordon Photography went above and beyond for their clients basically acting as a wedding planner and day-of coordinator. The price was definitely worth everything they did for us and they just blew our expectations out of the water. I would introduce any of our friends getting married to them. We consider them family now and look forward to continuing our relationship with them.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
