“Our wedding theme and design inspiration came directly from our venue, Legacy Lane Weddings. We aimed to reflect its romantic, elegant, southern charm with soft color palettes, timeless attire, and the subtle backdrop of light jazz music. My cascading bouquet was chosen to echo the beauty of the willowy oak tree where we said our vows. We wanted sophisticated colors that matched the romantic ambiance of the venue and selected a color palette of pink, navy blue, and cream tones.” -The Bride
FEATURING
Savannah and Reed’s outdoor Brooksville wedding beautifully embodied southern charm and elegance, with a pastel color palette and decor thoughtfully inspired by the natural beauty of their venue.
“Our wedding theme and design inspiration came directly from our venue, Legacy Lane Weddings. We aimed to reflect its romantic, elegant, southern charm with soft color palettes, timeless attire, and the subtle backdrop of light jazz music. My cascading bouquet was chosen to echo the beauty of the willowy oak tree where we said our vows,” the bride beamed. “The venue added so many personal touches, from the table décor to the silk flowers, creating a seamless and stunning atmosphere for our day. We wanted sophisticated colors that matched the romantic ambiance of the venue and selected a color palette of pink, navy blue, and cream tones. When Reed proposed, one of the candles he had lit was called ‘Cedar Rose.’ Out of curiosity, I searched for the color through Azazie, and it turned out to be a stunning, deep, dusty pink, my favorite color. The coincidence felt meant to be, and we loved how the navy blue complemented it perfectly.”
Having begun their love story in Tampa, the local couple wanted a Florida wedding and were focused on finding a venue outside of the city.
“While we love Tampa, the idea of a wedding away from the city really appealed to us. Legacy Lane Weddings was the perfect fit! We wanted a wedding venue that had both outdoor and indoor locations on their property, could easily accommodate 90 guests, had space for our wedding party to get ready on-site, and would be accessible and comfortable for guests of all ages,” the bride shared. “We chose Legacy Lane Weddings because their property had everything we envisioned for our wedding venue. Located in Brooksville, its vast landscape and towering trees offered the old Florida charm and cozy atmosphere we were dreaming of! One of the highlights was the on-site accommodations for over 30 guests, allowing us to create a full weekend experience rather than just a one-day event. We loved the idea of filling the space with our family, making the weekend feel more intimate and meaningful. Since we all live in different places, time together is rare, and this made our wedding feel cozy and sentimental.”
“We were beyond impressed with Legacy Lane’s service. The staff was friendly, organized, professional, and incredibly accommodating, handling every detail with ease. This allowed us and our families to fully relax and enjoy the celebration. Legacy Lane also added thoughtful touches like handwritten notes and a personalized wedding gift. They took the time to get to know us as individuals, not just clients, making the entire experience feel like coming home.”
The pair wanted their spring wedding to have a positive, intimate atmosphere that truly reflected their personalities.
“Savannah and Reed had the opportunity to spend the weekend with their friends and family from Friday to Sunday. This allowed them to slow down and really make special memories with everyone. Their wedding was so beautiful, but my favorite thing about it was the bride and groom themselves. Their love for each other is not only tangible; they bring light wherever they go. They are both just the most genuine and loving couple, and they left a lasting impression on me,” Amber Wahlberg, Director of Events at Legacy Lane Weddings, recounted. “In just our first interaction, I felt like I was hanging with long-time friends. I even felt at times they were hosting me because of their attentiveness and kindness. They are such a sweet couple and so wonderful to work with. Even as the bride and groom, they were checking in on the vendors and the guests and wanted everyone to enjoy their time while celebrating together.”
“We were very intentional about the friends and family we invited to our wedding, choosing those who protect our peace and bring out the best in us,” the bride revealed. “This thoughtfulness created a warm, uplifting energy that everyone could feel. It was so special to see people from different parts of our lives connecting on a deeper level, which helped create the personal and intimate atmosphere we had always envisioned.”
Music and attire were a priority to Savannah and Reed. The bride donned a strapless corset top wedding gown and exchanged friendship bracelets with her groom, hinting at her processional song.
“I chose a Martina Liana dress that was timeless with a modern twist, inspired by my love for Audrey Hepburn’s simple yet detailed style. Reed complemented my look perfectly in a navy blue tux with a black tie,” the bride detailed. “For our ceremony, we selected songs that hold special meaning to us. Our wedding party walked down the aisle to Forever in Love by Kenny G, one of our favorite artists. I walked down to a piano version of Taylor Swift’s Love Story, a nod to when Reed, though not a Swiftie like me, learned to play the chorus on his guitar when we first started dating. We wanted our guests to hear the music that fills our home and reflects our relationship.”
To ensure the perfect blend of music to set the mood, Grant Hemond & Associates kept the energy flowing by creating an unforgettable atmosphere throughout the evening.
“We wanted a wedding DJ who would personalize the music and energy of the evening to us rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all wedding playlist. Grant Hemond & Associates was an easy choice for us, especially since they were a preferred vendor of Legacy Lane and fit within our budget. Their service exceeded our expectations!” the bride gushed. “DJ Tom spent over an hour on the phone with us before the wedding, really getting to know our style and music preferences. He even gave us some great suggestions for our reception playlist. He was punctual and professional and handled everything seamlessly, from looping songs during the ceremony to adjusting the volume for older guests. Tom kept the energy up and ensured our day flowed perfectly. We can’t recommend him and Grant Hemond & Associates enough!”
One of Savannah’s most memorable moments from the day was feeling the presence of loved ones, both near and far, while she and Reed professed their love to each other.
“Our ceremony was really memorable for us. We had people from 11 different states and a family from Canada who attended. Our guests traveled far to be with us on our wedding day, some of whom we hadn’t seen in over ten years. To have our friends and families together in the same space was an overwhelming gift,” the bride reminisced. “Between the two of us, Reed and I have grandparents and uncles who’ve passed away. During one of the prayers, I closed my eyes and pictured these loved ones standing near our guests, watching the ceremony. It made me feel like they were truly with us in spirit, sending us their love as we said our vows.”
The Proposal:
I came home from work to find our apartment transformed into a mini scavenger hunt. Photographs and handwritten clues led me to our bedroom, where Reed was waiting. He got down on one knee and said, ‘After our first date, I knew it would be my last first date because it was with you.’ It was one of the happiest moments and easiest answers of my life.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We spent our honeymoon on an Alaskan cruise. Neither Reed nor I had ever been on a cruise before. We liked the idea of experiencing something for the first time together. We’ve lived in Florida for years, and we wanted to adventure somewhere completely different from where we live. The chilly Alaskan environment was the perfect contrast to Florida’s brutal heat.
As a passionate photographer, Reed was drawn to the beauty of Alaska and the opportunity to photograph it. Our honeymoon served many purposes, from experiencing new environments to feeding our passions.

Where was your bachelorette party?
Savannah, Georgia. My name is Savannah, so I thought it would be fun to have my bachelorette in the city with my name. My parents were both born and raised in Georgia, where they met. While my family no longer lives there, our roots run deep. It seemed fitting to have my bachelorette in Georgia, a place that’s always been an important part of who I am.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Plan early so you have time to enjoy the process. Tour more than one wedding venue and spend some time getting to know the area around the venue you like. Work together to create a wedding budget and keep track of expenses as they occur.
Which vendors exceeded your expectations?
All of our vendors really exceeded our expectations. They were professional, kind, efficient, and communicated with us throughout the wedding planning process. Our photographer, Maddness Photography, was genuine and earnest from the start. Similar to our venue, she took the time to get to know us personally, which made taking photos with her an intimate and comfortable experience. She made us feel safe and allowed us to be ourselves, producing stunning photographs that exceeded our expectations. She captured not just our love but the love our guests felt for us.
