Jennifer and Nathan’s Clearwater beach destination wedding centered around creating a surreal experience for their guests with a Great Gatsby inspired beach party.
“A twist on vintage attire was a big part of the wedding,” the bride explained. “My golden wedding dress, Nathan’s blue tux and bow tie and our wedding party and guests dressing up made the event feel very special.”

The Columbus, Ohio couple knew that Tampa Bay would be the perfect backdrop for their 100-person waterfront wedding at the Hilton Clearwater Beach.
“I lived near Clearwater as a child, and it is one of my favorite places. Nathan knew as soon as he saw the white sand beach at sunset that it was the perfect place for our outdoor wedding,” Jennifer gushed. “The Hilton Clearwater Beach is in the center of Clearwater, easy to get to and provided our out-of-state guests a beach vacation vibe, and you can drink alcohol on their beach!”
To complete the bride’s vision of vintage and sophisticated glamour, she hired Tampa Bay hair salon Blo Blow Dry Bar to ensure that her bridal party would arrive in style.
“Blo Blow Dry Bar shut down the salon for us, had a personalized welcome sign, pink carpet for our entrance, every bridesmaid and mother had a personal stylist, endless champagne, and they even refilled my glass whenever I rang a bell,” Jennifer beamed. “It was amazing! All the girls had up-do’s to match our vintage Hollywood theme, and each stylist did a fantastic job. My stylist was Jasmine who made me look more fabulous than I had ever imagined. It was something out of a movie!”
What was your wedding beauty inspiration?
We wanted a more sophisticated and vintage feel to our wedding. It started with our rose gold rings, and my champagne beaded wedding dress. What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We looked for an amazing outdoor backdrop and venue big enough to hold 100 guests. I always wanted to get married on the beach, so I also looked in Florida and the Bahamas. We decided our family attending our wedding was very important, so we decided against the Bahamas.

How would you describe your theme?
Our theme was a Great Gatsby beach party. Men were encouraged to wear bow ties, and women were to wear cocktail dresses. Our outdoor wedding and reception had a chandelier hanging above the dance floor, shimmering rose gold accents on the tables, and everything was made to complement the breathtaking beach sunset.
What were your colors?
Rose gold, champagne and a blush color palette, so our wedding mirrored the beautiful Clearwater sunset.
