Courtney and Tommy’s waterfront South Tampa wedding featured a southern inspired theme with shades of blue, ivory and metallic accents.
Creating the perfect ambiance for their outdoor ceremony and reception, Tampa wedding planner Staci Mandikas of UNIQUE Weddings and Events helped the couple create a timeless look that would complement their gorgeous Mediterranean-style wedding venue.
“Courtney and Tommy are a sweet couple that wanted a classic, timeless design with an organic overtone, combining ivory, soft blue, navy and greenery,” Staci shared.

Waterfront Tampa wedding venue The Westshore Yacht club was the perfect backdrop for the outdoor wedding.
“The light color of the building with the dark accents, was reminiscent of their soft color scheme and dark wood touches. The couple’s ceremony took place overlooking Tampa Bay and the bride seemed to glide down the aisle in her ethereal gown. As the sun set, the pool deck was turned over from the ceremony to reception, combining round and rectangular tables,” Staci explained.

To complement the textural and loose greenery with ivory floral centerpieces, an assortment of solid fabrics with subtle textured linens from Over the Top Rental Linens adorned each table. The navy ribbon on the cloth ivory napkins made each place setting pop in a sophisticated way.

“While the couple was united in love, they were also divided by college football. We played on that, by having contrasting signature cocktails – the “UF Gator Grog” and the “FSU Seminole Slinger,” complete with custom acrylic stirrers to match,” Staci gushed. “Even the groomsmen got into the spirit by wearing UF and FSU socks under their suits.”
A wedding isn’t complete without dessert and for this couple, they incorporated their sophisticated and sleek design into their wedding cake created by Alessi’s Bakery. A three-tiered round white cake on a beautiful silver stand was accented with ivory florals and lush greenery bringing together the look of the entire reception.
