Lindsay and Michael’s outdoor garden downtown St. Pete wedding captured every bit of Florida’s tropical charm with an intimate outdoor ceremony.
“We didn’t have an exact theme, but I really want to find a way to combine romantic gold details, with bright beautiful flowers,” the bride shared. “Choosing a color palette of navy, pink, and gold made everything really pop! The colors went so well together, and it was an easy color theme for decorations, bridesmaid dresses, and the groomsmen’s suits!”

Planning their celebration from Pennsylvania, the destination bride and groom both agreed that creating a fun weekend for their guests was at the top of their list.
“We wanted to make sure our guests were happy, which is why we opted for a quick yet meaningful ceremony so that the day could be spent truly celebrating with loved ones,” the bride gushed. “Downtown St. Pete is so convenient to get to from the Tampa airport and has so many great restaurants and shops! We really wanted to be surrounded by our friends and family during such a special time, but we also wanted to ensure they got the opportunity to enjoy a great mini-vacation!”

“We were looking for something that when you walked in the door or pulled up into the driveway, you were just amazed. Luckily we found it because that’s exactly what the Vinoy is!” Lindsay gushed. “The Vinoy is just so beautiful and historical! Looking back on their blissful day, the bride will never forget seeing her groom for the first time or the sweet treat her mom surprised her with during the reception.
“One of my favorite moments was when I was walking down the aisle and saw Mike getting choked up. Finally getting to see him felt unreal,” Lindsay reminisced. “Another special moment was when my mom gave a speech on why there were chocolate covered pretzels on the table. My dad used to give chocolate covered pretzels to all the ladies in the family for special occasions. This was her little surprise letting me know he was right by my side the entire day!”

The Proposal:
Mike proposed at our favorite place to visit, Fort Lauderdale! He did it on the beach right before we went to dinner; he was just on one knee and couldn’t get any words out! The best part was the next day he surprised me by inviting my mom to come down and celebrate with us for the weekend.
