Moroccan, Boho Chic Downtown St. Pete Wedding | Museum of Fine Arts Wedding
Dana and Bask’s downtown St. Pete wedding featured a bohemian inspired Moroccan and Mediterranean theme with a warm jewel toned color palette.
“My husband is from the Czech Republic, literally Bohemia, so a nod to that was only appropriate,” the bride explained.”

The St. Petersburg couple wanted to personalize their Jewish wedding day as much as possible. From designing their invitations to a chuppah built by the groom’s father and finding the perfect vintage couches, no detail was left untouched. Ensuring that their reception would feel more like a big dinner party, rather than a traditional wedding, they chose to rent items from The Reserve Vintage Rentals.
“We wanted people to relax, recline, have a lot of areas to put drinks down and chat. We wanted a relaxed bohemian feel,” Dana shared. “The Reserve Vintage Rentals had a great selection, and the service was great. I loved that they had a really up to date website where I could see all of the choices easily.”
“Because Bask is an artist, there were a lot of handmade touches as well as a lot of family heirlooms incorporated, since we’re both very close to our families. We both love to host people at our home for dinner parties, so the big wooden feasting tables and rugs made the space feel homey and warm,” Dana shared. “Bask painted all of our table runners and handmade and painted the table numbers. Our invitations and programs were based on paintings he made; I also did all of the graphic design for all of our printed stationery. In lieu of favors, we made donations to charities providing Thanksgiving dinners to needy families as Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday.”
The couple knew that they couldn’t say “I do” without their adorable dog and hired Tampa Bay wedding pet planners, FairyTail Pet Care, to ensure that their dog received the royal treatment.
“She’s a member of our family! There was never a question of not having her in our wedding, the bride shared. “We’d heard great things about FairyTail Pet Care, and they did not disappoint. The girls were really caring and compassionate, and we didn’t have to worry about our pups at all on the day of.”

Looking back, the bride’s most cherished memories occurred throughout the tradition elements of her wedding day.
“My dad’s speech was so memorable because it was hilarious, and when my husband broke the glass after the Rabbi pronounced us married. Everything else is a total blur!” the bride reminisced.

What was your wedding furniture rental inspiration?
Comfortable! We wanted people to relax, recline, have a lot of areas to put drinks down and chat. Again, we wanted a relaxed bohemian feel. Reserve Vintage Rentals had a great selection, and the service was great. I loved that they had a really up to date website where I could see all of the choices easily.
What was your wedding menu inspiration?
Foods that were appropriate to the season.
We gave Olympia Catering a really tall order; we had a very extensive menu and needed to incorporate vegan entrees and hors d’oeuvres into the menu. They did a great job with the food and had a lot of options and really let us customize our menu. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Use a planner! I’m really glad we didn’t listen to anyone who told us that we didn’t need a planner. Don’t skimp on the photographer!
