Alyssa and Robert’s waterfront South Tampa wedding showcased a modern bohemian ambiance with a sophisticated yet edgy vibe. Envisioning light and airy details, the bride and groom chose a color palette of yellow, champagne, silver sage, and light pink to perfectly tie together their big day.
“Our inspiration was a combination of my personal style coupled with classy yet edgy decor. Modern bohemian is what I liked to call it,” the bride shared. “Since we were getting married in late February, we were unsure if the Florida weather would be more winter or springtime. Luckily, we were blessed with mildly hot temperatures during the day and perfectly cool weather in the evening!”

Wanting to capture the true beauty of Florida while still incorporating elements that were important to them, the Tampa couple chose a classic church ceremony and a breathtaking waterfront South Tampa wedding reception for 200 guests.
“I think the most important element for us was our church service and all of the important people that were involved. Family is very important to both of us, so being able to have everyone together, healthy and happy, meant the world to us,” the bride gushed. “We also really wanted our guests to take in all that Florida has to offer which is why we chose a wedding reception on the water. Only in Florida can you have a February wedding with beautiful temperatures!”

Wanting a wedding hair and makeup artist who could nail her old Hollywood glam vision, the bride chose LDM Beauty Group after getting to know the team at her best friend’s wedding.
“My best friend had used LDM Beauty Group for her wedding, and I really got to know a lot of the team in an intimate setting as they were doing our makeup for 8-10 hours,” the bride shared. “I have a big girl crush on Blake Lively and her old Hollywood glam look and knew I wanted a similar look. I was absolutely blown away at how perfect everyone’s hair and makeup turned out. I chose airbrush makeup because I think it looks more natural especially for people who don’t wear a lot of makeup normally. The team was so talented and so easy to work with!”

Looking back on their special day, Alyssa will never forget the moment she finally locked eyes with her groom as she walked down the aisle.
“I think the most memorable moment for me was walking down the church aisle with my father. You dream about that moment and seeing your husband for the first time and always wonder what it’s going to feel like,” the bride gushed. “Finally getting to see Robert was the best feeling in the world!”

The Proposal:
We had known we were going to get married for a while, so I knew Bobby was going to completely surprise me since I would be suspicious of anything too apparently obvious. I was finishing grad school coming home from the hospital late one night when I pulled in to our driveway to see Bobby pop up in the window. As I opened the door there were rose petals covering the floor, Chris Stapleton on the radio, and our two dogs Cammy and Ben wearing little handkerchiefs. Bobby was on one knee and motioning the dogs over. I then read the handkerchief “Will you marry my dad?” I don’t know if I could utter a word I was in such shock! It was perfect!
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
