Andrea and Chad’s luxurious downtown St. Pete wedding featured a traditional church ceremony and romantic ballroom reception that dazzled with endless amounts of elegance and a timeless ambiance.

With their fall nuptials in mind, the bride and groom envisioned a romantic affair with 270 of their closest friends and family dripping with modern charm.
“To capture the romance and elegance of the evening, we chose decor and colors that would complement both our ceremony and reception space,” Andrea beamed. “Our color palette of navy, gold, and burgundy went perfectly with the time of year we were getting married and really gave us the classy edge we were going for.”

From the start of her wedding planning process, the bride had a specific reception venue in mind, and the bride followed her heart and chose The Vinoy Renaissance St.Petersburg Resort and Golf Club.
“We were really looking for a venue that incorporated both of our tastes, and choosing The Vinoy was one of the best decisions we made,” Andrea gushed. “So many aspects made it exactly what we were looking for. It truly is the epitome of classic elegance and was always where I wanted to have my wedding reception since it is one of the best hotels in the Tampa Bay area. Aside from its natural beauty, the service was all that I expected and more. We never had to lift a finger!”

In search of a DJ who could keep the crowd up and dancing all night, including the 15 groomsmen, the couple enlisted the help of Tampa Bay entertainment experts Grant Hemond & Associates.
“It was important for us to find someone who was not only outgoing and lively but also someone who could mix old school music with modern hits,” Andrea explained. “Grant Hemond was extremely helpful and professional, and our DJ was awesome!”

The Proposal:
Chad and I had known each other for about 14 years and had always remained friends over the years. We went to dinner at Ocean Prime in Tampa to meet some friends. I was not expecting the proposal, and it happened right after we had dessert! He also surprised me with my parents being there, as well as his and my best friend.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?

What were your colors?
Navy, gold, and burgundy for the bridal party. Burgundy is Chad’s favorite color, and the navy and gold offset the burgundy. The colors also went well with the time of year we were getting married.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
It’s your special day! Choose what makes you happy. Take advice from others, but ultimately do what you want! It’s a once in a lifetime experience, don’t skimp on it!
