When we think of the iconic designer Kate Spade, we think classic, modern and chic. Our hearts our heavy with the news of her passing. She’s inspired so many brides’ decor and fashion, and her items have been at the top of many couples’ bridal registries for decades. We know that her timeless style will continue to inspire gorgeous weddings like it did with this downtown Tampa styled shoot.
Located in downtown Tampa, Le Méridien is a fully-renovated, historic wedding venue that brings out the love for all things modern and chic. With a color palette of pink, black, white and touch of glitter, this styled wedding shoot pays homage to the classic Kate Spade brand.
“When planning this styled wedding, I knew that the venue had to be an iconic building with beautiful architectural details and a stunning ballroom with floor to ceiling windows,” Elina Levy of Elina Rose Studios shared. “Before converting to a hotel, Le Méridien served as a courthouse, and there’s nothing more iconic than an old courthouse in any city.”
Incorporating classic black and white stripe details with a pop of pink on the floral walls, this styled wedding included armless ghost chairs and black charger plates with striped salad plates from Tampa Bay wedding rental company Kate Ryan Event Rentals. Gold flatware and champagne bubbles complemented the chic tablescape, which could be straight out of a Kate Spade advertisement.
“I styled the shoot to inspire and to attract chic-city girls, who also value history and are romantics. The flowers incorporated many shades of pink, and some pops of orange, and were completed with classic black and white ribbon,” Elina shared. “The bouquet was modern, yet fitting for the most sophisticated classic bride. This stunning three-tiered cake was an edible work of art that incorporated a tier of the classic black and white stripes topped with the most delicate handmade sugar flowers.”
