When you get engaged, everyone will starting sharing their advice opinions about your wedding: who to hire, how much to spend, where to get married, the list goes on and on.

However, you should take any wedding planning advice with a grain of salt. You have to take into account the source. If you're asking your friend who was married five years ago which weddings pros she hired, those same vendors could no longer be in business or be transitioning out of the business (which is very common within that time frame).

If you look to online forums with other current brides, they may be planning a $10,000 wedding and cutting costs, while you're investing the money to hire season wedding professionals. Think of it this way, if you're a vegetarian, you weigh the recommendation of meat lover's favorite restaurant differently than your vegan friend.
