Roxy and Robert's downtown Tampa wedding embodied classic elegance with timeless decor and stunning details. Selecting a color palette of champagne, gold, and blush pink, the bride and groom snuck in some playful personal touches with a doughnut wall and their favorite craft beer on tap.
“I remember when I was a little girl, I would look at my grandmother’s wedding photos and just be in awe at how timeless and stunning it was. I wanted to capture the same ambiance to remember when we look back on our photos,” the bride shared. “I would describe our theme as classically romantic. When we look back at our wedding photos in 50 years, we wanted to see a timeless and beautiful wedding.”

Including their pet in their wedding day was a priority for the couple, even though it gave the bride some competition for the spotlight.
“Something that meant a lot to us was including our dog Lulu into our wedding process. We included her in our engagement photos and in our getting ready experience. Lulu pretty much stole the show!” the bride joked.
Looking back on their sweet celebration, the bride and groom will never forget the moment they finally saw each other and how perfect their reception was.
“My most memorable moment was standing up at the altar with Robert and just being overwhelmed with joy and happiness that this moment had finally arrived,” Roxy reminisced. “I think for Robert, walking into the reception for the first time and seeing how great everything looking was exciting. The music was bumping, everyone was dancing, and the party went on all night! It was definitely amazing seeing all the hard work finally pay off.”

The Proposal:
On our third anniversary, February 4, 2017, Robert planned for us to have some pre-dinner drinks followed by dinner. We made our way out to set up our beach chairs to watch the sunset. As the sun was setting, Robert toasted to three wonderful years with a bomber of craft beer. He began a playlist with one of our favorite artists, Michael Franti. The waves were crashing softly on the shore, and we could see a cruise ship on the horizon sailing away. At this point, Robert excused himself and asked me to come over to him. Before I knew it, he was on one knee in the sand and asked, “Will you marry me?”

For our photographer, we wanted someone not only matched our personalities but also provided high-quality photos. We also needed someone who would respect our church and the guidelines they have in place for photos in the church.

How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?

What were your colors?
We chose champagne, gold, and blush pink as our primary colors with some navy accents. We chose these colors because they were classic and complemented the style of Sacred Heart Catholic Church perfectly.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Do your research and don’t book a vendor if you feel at all pressured. Go with your gut. Hire a planner and enjoy your day! Accept that not everything will be perfect on your wedding day, but so many people are there for you because they love you. Your special day is really magical, so in the end, forget all the little things that might not go exactly according to plan.
