Blush and Champagne Vintage, Old Hollywood South Tampa Wedding | Westshore Yacht Club
Ashlee and Alex transformed their waterfront South Tampa wedding venue into a vintage, old Hollywood style reception with blush and champagne accents.
“I wanted a venue that could be decorated and look completely different than it does on a regular day. I wanted to transform it the day of the wedding,” the bride explained. “We chose our theme because it represents both of our styles very well. Our colors gave a warm feeling to the wedding.”
The Tampa couple hosted an outdoor ceremony, with a breathtaking view that overlooked Tampa Bay.
“South Tampa has such a classic, homey feel to it that we loved, and the Westshore Yacht Club was everything I was looking for and more! It was so beautiful down to every detail. I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like!” Ashlee gushed. “The service was amazing, and the staff were so helpful and answered every question, and believe me, I had a lot of questions and demands!”
Music played an important role in the pair’s wedding day. Ashlee had a mutual friend serenade Alex as she walked down the aisle, which ended up being one of the bride’s most memorable moments.
“I could feel my heart pumping so fast waiting behind the door. When she finished singing and the doors opened, I immediately made eye contact with Alex, and my heart just stopped. I couldn’t wait to take that walk and say ‘I do’ to the man of my dreams,” the bride reminisced.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
I wanted a venue that could be decorated and look completely different than it does on a regular day. I wanted to be able to transform it the day of the wedding. Also, we wanted a beautiful outdoor view for the ceremony.
I chose the Westshore Yacht Club because it was everything I was looking for and more! It was so beautiful down to every detail. I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like! The service was amazing, and the staff were so helpful and answered every question, and believe me, I had a lot of questions and demands!
The Proposal:
It was Christmas morning. We had finished opening all of our gifts with our daughter, and Alex convinced me that we should go surprise my parents and let her open gifts at their house. They were so happy and surprised (so I thought). Once all the gifts were opened, Alex said he had one more gift he wanted to give and got down on one knee.
How would you describe your theme?
Vintage, old Hollywood. We chose it because it represents both of our styles very well.
What were your colors?
Blush and champagne. I chose them because they are very subtle and stunning together. It gave a warm feeling to the wedding.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
Don’t stress! You stress so much that you don’t enjoy the process, and it is over before you know it. Enjoy every bit of planning and the day itself. This is once in a lifetime. Make it count!
