Brooke and Blake’s classic downtown St. Pete wedding featured an elegant black and white color palette. Keeping the decor simple yet breathtaking, the bride incorporated the couple’s traditional and refined tastes throughout their wedding day.
“I wanted our theme to provide a fairytale type environment. I felt the like the belle of the ball,” Brooke gushed. “Black and white with candles galore, adorned our wedding. I chose these colors because they fit my theme perfectly. What says classic elegance more than a chic black dress in a candlelit setting?”

The Smyrna, Georgia couple chose to wed in downtown St. Pete, where the bride grew up.
“It was very important to both Blake and I that the venue was in downtown St. Pete and had a view of the water. What I really wanted was for everyone who attended my wedding to come away saying ‘Wow, what a great wedding!’ and I think we accomplished that,” Brooke gushed.

Looking back on their wedding day, the bride shared that one of her most cherished memory was right before she walked into their wedding reception.
“The entire event was memorable, but my favorite moment of the whole night was being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Carl at the reception. I got this incredible adrenaline rush when I saw all my guests awaiting our arrival in this impeccably decorated ballroom with the band singing one of our all-time favorite songs. That moment was truly indescribable,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
Blake surprised me with a trip to Barnsley Gardens resort to celebrate Valentine’s Day. After we got there, he suggested we take a walk. Blake took me to this beautiful ruin where many weddings take place. Then, suddenly, he got down on one knee.
