Zenith and Shawn’s Clearwater Beach wedding featured a weekend-long celebration to cultivate the couple’s marriage. Rich in culture and vibrant in color, this has to be one of our most ornate weddings of the year!
To honor their Pakistani heritage, the bride and groom started the weekend with the traditional Mehndi which involves creating a decorative design of henna representing positive spirits and good luck. The Mehndi ceremony is held the night before the wedding day to symbolically wish the bride good health and prosperity on her journey into marriage.

Knowing that food is an essential part of the wedding, Catering Sales Manager for the Wyndham Grand Wendy Baratta shared that several Indian caterers, as well as their on-site hotel chef, prepared traditional Indian dishes. One of Wendy’s favorite aspects of this wedding was that the decorator was able to completely change the ballroom from the Mehndi night to the evening of the wedding reception into a new breathtaking atmosphere.
On the day of their wedding reception, the ballroom was transformed into an oasis of white, gold and greenery. Waterfall centerpieces of orchids and candles cascaded through the air. Adding glitz to the vibrant Indian decor, sequin placemats and glass charger plates brought the table settings to the next level. Creating a memorable Baraat exit, the groom rode a eye-catching white horse adorned with vibrant tassels as he departed along the Clearwater Beach boardwalk.
