Jordyn and Cameron’s vibrant Plant City wedding incorporated flora-focused decor with rustic charm.
The outdoorsy couple embraced a natural theme they titled “Let Love Grow” and incorporated garden details throughout the celebration, as well as a romantic color palette of mixed shades of pinks and reds reflective of the season.
“Our wedding colors were burgundy, blush pink, olive, white, and a pop of vibrant jewel tones. My husband and I love these colors together. We wanted something timeless but colorful, and that represented us. We both are very outgoing and bright in our personalities,” Jordyn shared. “I am a huge fan of burgundy because it looks good on everyone. Since we were getting married in February it also fit the colors of romance since our wedding was so close to Valentine’s Day.”
Jordyn turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay to research vendors and inspiration, especially when searching for a florist, knowing that flowers would be such an integral part of their wedding motif.
“We used Marry me Tampa bay during our wedding planning. It was so nice to have a source to help research and decide on vendors for our big day. It’s stressful enough to plan a wedding but Marry Me Tampa Bay actually helped to limit that stress and helped us find our florist, Jean from Monarch Events and Designs, from a vendor blog post,” the bride recalled.
The Tampa couple sought a florist who would understand their vision and be able to work within their budget, and after their first appointment with Jean owner of Monarch Events and Designs, they knew her team was a perfect choice.
“One of the most important elements of our wedding would have had to be the florals since it was such a big part of our theme. We wanted flowers everywhere in the most vibrant jewel tones. As soon as we met Jean we knew we wanted to work with her on our big day. She was so sweet and helpful throughout our process. She gives 110% and truly makes you feel special. We not only walked away from our wedding experience with absolutely beautiful flowers, but we walked away with a great friend in Jean,” Jordyn raved. “We specifically hired Monarch Events and Design solely because of Jean and how she runs her business, professional, caring, personal, and affordable. She made our vision happen after plenty of rearranging the design details. I was so impressed by her professionalism and ability to make our creative dreams come true no matter the challenge. Their service was top notch. I will be using them again for any future floral needs.”

The pair worked to inject personal details throughout their 150-guest celebration, from the ice cream truck serving their favorite dessert to the couple’s signature drinks, and even a handmade seed packet seating chart. Jordyn and Cameron maintain that those elements are what made their wedding day personal.
“We really strove to incorporate ourselves into the wedding. We wanted people to really feel like they weren’t just attending any wedding, but that they could tell it was a wedding we would have put on. We just made sure to have our favorites of everything so our guests could feel the essence of us,” the bride beamed. “Our wedding was so unique because it depicted us as individuals and as a couple so well “It was one-of-a-kind. It showcased who we are and who we are entering our new life together. Every aspect of it was decided on together. There was no denying that the elements we had at our wedding showcased us as the ‘Lindahls.’”
The bride wanted to ensure that all of her bridesmaids looked and felt their best on the big day, and after seeing samples of Femme Akoi Beauty Studio‘s work on social media, she knew they would be able to accommodate a variety of looks. And after the bride’s trial hair appointment, she was able to relax on the wedding day knowing everything would run smoothly and she would feel beautiful.
“I chose Femme Akoi to do all of the hairstyling for my wedding because of their overall vibe. Their portfolio of wedding experience showed they were versatile with different styles and hair textures. I wanted to choose a hair vendor that could make everyone in my bridal party feel beautiful and who had the experience to do exactly what they envisioned,” the bride shared. “Their service was great! They were so thorough with the time allotted. There was plenty of time for touch-ups, requests, and changes, and at the end of the day we all felt beautiful.”

Jordyn shared that her most memorable moment of the day (besides marrying her best friend of course!) was actually months in the making. She had been working on completing the paperwork for her stepfather to legally adopt her and knew how special it would be to make it official on her wedding day.
“My favorite memory was saying ‘I do’ to my husband and sharing our first kiss as husband and wife. It was the best part of the whole day!” the bride reminisced. “But also asking my stepdad of 22 years during our first look to walk me down the aisle officially as my father and as his daughter and presenting him the legal adoption paperwork I had been working on for months to present as a surprise. It was such a special and emotional moment I will never forget.”
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Our wedding theme was “let love grow.” My husband loves the outdoors and is an avid gardener in his spare time. We camp, travel, and just love nature. We really envisioned our wedding as a mixture of both of our personalities. The flowers were our main focal point, giving a visual of an abundance of flora in a whimsical sense as if they were growing, like our love endlessly growing. Our florist was absolutely phenomenal in capturing the vision beautifully.
What were your colors?
Burgundy, blush pink, olive, white, and a pop of vibrant jewel tones. My husband and I both love these colors together. We wanted something timeless but colorful, and that represented us. We both are very outgoing and bright in our personalities. I am a huge fan of burgundy, because it looks good on everyone. Since we were getting married in February it also fit the colors of romance since our wedding was so close to Valentine’s Day.
The Proposal:
We met in the most cliche way, he slid into my DMs! He actually noticed me on the popular dating app Bumble and instead of waiting for us to match he decided to take his shot through Instagram. We met up that same week at Honeymoon Island at the dog beach. We had to make sure the pups liked each other first or that would have been a deal-breaker. We are your typical dog parents…obsessed! The rest is history. Honeymoon Island is also where Cameron proposed, back where our journey began. It couldn’t have been more perfect. It was very sentimental for us.
What was your wedding hair inspiration?
I wanted to choose a hair vendor that could make everyone in my bridal party feel beautiful and who have the experience to do exactly what they envisioned.
I chose Femme Akoi Beauty Studio to do all of the hairstyling for my wedding because of their overall vibe. Their portfolio of wedding experience showed they were versatile with different styles and hair textures. Their service was great! They were so thorough with the time allotted. There was plenty of time for touch-ups, requests, and changes, and at the end of the day, we all felt beautiful. I highly recommend a bridal trial beforehand. I choose to do one and I’m so glad that I did because I was able to be stress-free on my wedding day deciding on what the overall look was going to be prior to and being very happy with the end result.
What was your wedding floral inspiration?
One of the most important elements of our wedding would have had to be the florals since it was such a big part of our theme. We wanted flowers everywhere in the most vibrant jewel tones.
When we were looking for a wedding florist we wanted to find someone who understood our vision. Not only that but someone who could make it work within our budget. Our theme was “Let Love Grow” so it was the most important factor. Jean from Monarch Events and Designs was the first florist we scheduled an actual appointment with after many failed attempts and discussions with other florists in the Tampa Bay Area. As soon as we met her we knew we wanted to work with her on our big day. She was so sweet and helpful throughout our process. She gives 110% and truly makes you feel special. We not only walked away from our wedding experience with absolutely beautiful flowers but we walked away with a great friend in Jean. We specifically hired Monarch Events solely because of Jean and how she runs her business; professional, caring, personal, and affordable. She made our vision happen after plenty of rearranging the design details. I was so impressed by her professionalism and ability to make our creative dreams come true no matter the challenge. Their service was top notch. I will be using them again for any future floral needs.
My guests are still raving about our flowers at our wedding. They were truly breathtaking. Everyone couldn’t believe the ambiance; it was magic at its finest. Jean not only was a delight to work with but her work just blew us all away. It truly was a highlight of my day walking into our venue seeing her creation before all the guests arrived. It far exceeded my expectations. We worked so closely with Jean from Monarch Events and Designs to make our vision a reality. It couldn’t have come out more beautifully.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Have fun! In every aspect of the wedding planning. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed, but don’t stress. No matter what, it will be the perfect day and all will work out in the end. The ultimate goal is to marry the one you love. So don’t sweat the small stuff, little details, or mishaps. There’s nothing that can ruin your special day. It goes by in a blink of an eye so enjoy it.
