South Tampa Wedding | The Epicurean Hotel Wedding
Angela and Wynston’s South Tampa wedding showcased a blend of rustic and modern elements.
“I wanted our day to have a natural, yet trendy vibe,” the bride explained. “Our venue, even though it was a hotel, was not your typical hotel! The vibe was very trendy, and they take pride in offering unique food.”
The groom incorporated his personalty through his attire, with funky socks, pocket squares and ties, while the bride added personal details throughout the Tampa couple’s big day.
“We used coffee beans in our escort card tray as a nod to my love for coffee,” Angela shared. “A lot of the details, like the escort cards and wedding programs were all hand created by me to reflect our style and wedding theme.”
To add to the rustic wedding theme, Angela chose a naked wedding cake design.
“It was unique and complemented the natural, rustic feel I was going for,” the bride explained. “Trudy [of Trudy Melissa Cakes] got the vision I had for our wedding cake and made me feel comfortable that she would make a stunning cake, and she did just that!”
To capture every moment and detail of the day, Angela and Wynston hired Tampa wedding videographer Rad Red Creative.
“We wanted to be able to relive the day for years to come and remember the sounds and little details of the day,” the bride shared. “Rad Red Creative was awesome! The end product was beyond all of mine and my husband’s expectations. Our wedding video gives me chills each time I watch it!”

Looking back, Angela shared that her most memorable came during the wedding ceremony.
“The organist at the church was so sweet and incorporated Coldplay’s Yellow as my entrance song. Aside from that, marrying my best friend was the icing on the cake for our ceremony,” the bride reminisced.
Why did you choose to have a wedding videographer?
Wynston and I wanted to be able to relive the day for years to come. Having a videographer would let us remember the sounds and little details of the day that photographs don’t capture.
Rad Red Creative was awesome! Leo and Brittany are such a cute husband/wife duo and are funny and personable. They were seamless; so many of my guests commented on how skilled they were. It didn’t feel like we had videographers intruding on the events of the day. The end product was beyond all of mine and my husband’s expectations. Our wedding video gives me chills each time I watch it. They were worth every penny, I’m so glad we decided to book them!
The Proposal:
It was Christmas Eve and Wynston and I were opening our gifts to each other, a yearly tradition of ours. One of his gifts to me was a box with a slip of paper that was the start of a scavenger hunt around our apartment. Each clue represented a milestone in our relationship, which lead to the final clue and him on one knee asking me to marry him. It was perfect!
How would you describe your theme?
I would say our theme was a blend of rustic and modern elements. I wanted our day to have a natural, yet trendy vibe.
What were your colors?
The main colors were berry hued (purples, dis his and muted pinks). I chose the colors because they felt vibrant and inviting.
What did you look for in a wedding cake baker?
I wanted someone who was personable, fun, creative and reputable.
Trudy [of Trudy Melissa Cakes] was so sweet, and her cake tasted amazing! She got the vision I had for our wedding cake and made me feel comfortable that she would make a stunning cake, and she did just that!
