Kajal and Mark centered their Tampa wedding by harmonizing their two cultures with a dual ceremony, Christian and Hindu, at T Pepin last fall.
While both ceremonies were very distinct, the Maryland couple wanted to tell one story and have the same vision flow throughout the day.
As an out-of-town couple, they hired Tampa wedding planner Georgia Watson of Wedding by Georgia to orchestrate the large event.
“We started by choosing the venue. The venue had to be large enough for the guest count, provide two areas for the ceremonies, provide a comfortable cocktail space and a reception room that would allow us to WOW the group without having to spend thousands more than desired,” explained Watson.
In addition to fully coordinating the wedding and keeping the couple within budget, Wedding by Georgia took care of every last detail. They designed the custom brooch bouquet, the bridesmaids clutches and the groom's boutonniere.

“The highlight of the wedding for me was photographing the Hindu ceremony,” said Junco. “Very colorful and lots of pageantry. Everything was spectacular.”
Orlando based Suhaag Gardens, who specializes in Indian weddings, designed the florals and provided the gold chiavari chairs and plum and gold linens.
To appease pallets of both cultures, Kajal and Mark hired Puff N’ Stuff catering to create a custom menu of Indian food with twist. Guests dined on Chicken Kashmiri (boneless chicken cooked with nuts & raisins in a creamy sauce), Malai Kofta (stuffed potato dumplings, fried & cooked in a rich onion tomato curry), and Dal Makhani (black lentils simmered overnight with butter onions, tomatoes, and spices).
In addition to a four-tier wedding cake designed by Watson Events and baked by Alessi Bakery, guests were also treated to Gajar Halwa (fresh carrots cooked in milk and garnished with carrots) & Ras Mali (flattened paneer balls soaked in sweetened milk).
