Jordan and Cody’s downtown St. Pete wedding dazzled us with sophistication and romance. With an abundance of floral arrangements, beautiful uplighting, and a timeless look this wedding will leave you swooning.
“We chose St. Petersburg because we absolutely love the area,” the bride shared. “We wanted a simple yet sophisticated and romantic feel for our wedding. We love greenery, blush pink and silver accents; to us, this was a classic and timeless look that we would still love throughout the years.”
MORE: TIMELESS WEDDING INSPIRATION
Capturing the bride and groom’s love in their natural element, the couple hired St. Pete wedding photographer Ailyn La Torre Photography.
“Marry Me Tampa Bay helped me get inspiration for our wedding and helped me with selecting some of our vendors. I found our photographer on Marry Me Tampa Bay!” Jordan gushed. “We wanted a photographer who took amazing photos, but also made us feel very comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. We were so lucky to find both with Ailyn La Torre Photography. Ailyn took beautiful photos and has the best personality. She is so sweet and makes the photography process very fun and natural.”
Jordan’s soft-swept up do, created by Femme Akoi, complemented the bride’s sophisticated theme and halter style wedding dress.

Looking back on their wedding day, the couple reminisced on how they were able to honor one of the groomsmen, who was deployed overseas during their wedding.
“One of Cody’s best men is serving for our country overseas. Since he was not able to be at our wedding, it was important to us that we were able to honor and include him. Julian filmed his best man speech while he was overseas, and we were able to play the video on a projector screen at our reception. It was so special because not only did he give an amazing speech for Cody and me, but we were also able to honor him.”

The Proposal:
Cody managed to completely surprise me! He told me that he won a helicopter ride in Sarasota through nurses week, and I totally believed him. When we landed, he asked the pilot to take a picture of us in front of the plane and that’s when he asked me to marry him! He later planned a dinner that I thought was just for us and invited all of our family to surprise me.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We wanted a photographer that took amazing photos but also made us feel very comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.
We were so lucky to find both with Ailyn La Torre Photography. I found our photographer on Marry Me Tampa Bay! We hired Ailyn because she took beautiful photos and has the best personality. She is so sweet and makes the photography process very fun and natural.
How would you describe your theme and colors?
We wanted a simple yet sophisticated and romantic feel for our wedding. We love greenery, blush pink and silver accents; to us, this was a classic and timeless look that we would still love throughout the years. My bridesmaids wore sterling silver dresses, and the guys wore classic black tuxes. It was important that my bridesmaids felt comfortable in their dresses and that they liked them as much as I did. They loved the fact that their dresses had pockets!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
The planning process and wedding day fly by, so try to be present and soak up every little moment. The day of your wedding day, try not to stress over all the details. Relax, breathe and enjoy the day with your loved ones. Also, make sure you eat!
