Rustic, Country Barn at Crescent Lake Wedding | “Mission I Do” Wedding Giveaway
Brittany and Jacob’s Tampa wedding day was truly a fairytale as the couple was selected as the recipient of the Old McMicky’s Farm “Mission I Do” wedding giveaway.
“In appreciation of the men and women who serve in our military, and in honor of those who have been wounded in combat, The Barn at Crescent Lake at Old McMicky’s Farm is honored to announce “Mission I Do,” a $25,000 all-inclusive dream wedding. It is a great honor to provide a couple with this all-inclusive wedding and to give back to those who serve or have served our country,” the rustic wedding venue shared on their Facebook page.
The Largo couple, who were living in Jacksonville at the time, chose a rustic, country theme for their Tampa Bay wedding.
“I’ve always wanted a fall wedding, and I love anything rustic!” Brittany shared. “I love cowboy boots, so all of my bridesmaids and myself wore boots with our dresses.”
The Barn at Crescent Lake complemented the couple’s outdoor purple, mustard and coral wedding.
“It was the PERFECT venue. It is beautiful and exactly what we have always wanted for our wedding: the atmosphere, the variety of locations you can choose for your ceremony and the employees, they made it special!” the bride gushed. “Also, it has meaning since we have taken our kids there, and we visited the farm ourselves as children.”
With the help of the generous Tampa wedding vendors who donated their time and services, the couple planned a wedding in just a few short months. Luckily, they were partnered with Tampa wedding planner Blue Skies Events.
“Blue Skies Events are truly amazing, and I never could’ve planned my wedding without them! They pretty much took care of everything; I just had to show up to my appointments,” the bride exclaimed.

Bella Bridesmaids donated the bridesmaid dresses while, Michele Renee The Studio made sure the wedding party was camera ready.
“The bridesmaid dresses looked great, and Bella Bridesmaids were very willing to help,” Brittany beamed. “Michele Renee The Studio was awesome! All of my girls looked amazing, and I loved my hair and makeup!”
Looking back, one of the bride’s most memorable moments was connecting with her husband at the ceremony.
“I will never forget seeing Jacob’s face when I walked down the aisle,” Brittany reminisced. “Our wedding is extra special to us because of ‘Mission I Do.’ Without the community coming together and donating their services, we never would’ve been able to have the wedding of our dreams. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding. We are eternally grateful for everything and everyone involved in making our wedding so special.”
The Proposal:
The Gold & Diamond Source donated an engagement ring. We had a driver pick us up to pick out a ring. After finding the perfect ring, Jacob got down on one knee in front of everyone in the store and proposed.
