Marissa and Eric’s waterfront downtown Tampa wedding featured beautiful views of the Tampa skyline and a theme that incorporated their love for the water.
“Picking a nautical theme was perfect because it gave us the ability to incorporate our love for all things water without being at the beach,” the bride shared. “To go along with the theme, I went for a color palette of mauve, dusty pink, and royal blue. The combination looked great together and since the yacht was already blue we made sure whatever we chose didn’t clash.”

The Clearwater natives wanted a waterfront Tampa wedding venue that offered a unique experience with great views and were ecstatic when they found something that checked all the boxes.
“We hired the Yacht Starship because we wanted something different, and the fact that we can say we had a yacht wedding is just plain cool,” the bride gushed. “Not only was it a venue unlike any other, but the overall experience was what made everything that much more unique! I’d say we got a lot of bang for our buck with an amazing wedding coordinator and a team who really knew what they were doing.”

After experiencing firsthand how delicious their cakes were, the bride knew she wanted Alessi Bakeries to create something special and scrumptious for her big day.
“I chose Alessi Bakeries because my mom had purchased several cakes from them before that were absolutely amazing,” the bride gushed. “Their cake tasting was fabulous and the gave me a ton of options when it came to narrowing down exactly what I wanted. Melissa, the head cake designer, walked us through every step and even offered us ideas on how to save money! In the end, the cake was a big hit, and the guests were even taking seconds to go!”

I’d say we got a lot of bang for our buck with an amazing wedding coordinator and a team who really knew what they were doing. I think being married by the ship Captain was one of the coolest parts of our wedding. The scene was amazing as the sunset over Tampa Bay. The cruising portion was also an awesome touch! It allowed for people to enjoy a cool ocean breeze on the top deck and enjoy the city lights and beautiful Tampa skyline. The Yacht Starship servers and bartenders put on an amazing time! I had several people tell me that it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
The Proposal:
Eric proposed at a restaurant on Clearwater Beach while watching the sunset over the ocean.
How would you describe your theme?
Nautical, of course!
What were your colors?
To go along with the theme, I went for a color palette of mauve, dusty pink, and royal blue. The combination looked great together and since the yacht was already blue we made sure whatever we chose didn’t clash.
