“I looked at a lot of pictures from previous weddings to solidify what I wanted my own day to look like,” the bride shared. “Using Marry Me Tampa Bay as a source really provided me with lots of inspiration during the early stages of the planning process.”

Choosing a color palette of ice blue, white, and peach, the Clearwater bride and groom nailed their natural yet chic ambiance.
“Our theme was romantic farmhouse. We really wanted a simple, yet pretty wedding with a bit of flair,” Kristy explained. “We felt like our theme really suited both of our personalities, and most of all, it blended perfectly with the Innisbrook landscape.”
Envisioning a Tampa Bay wedding venue that offered breathtaking outdoor scenery and plenty of indoor space to accommodate their guests, the bride and groom chose Innsbrook Golf & Spa Resort.
“Innisbrook was extremely helpful from the very beginning. They provided excellent support on the day of the wedding and were very attentive to our needs. Also, our out-of-town guests had a nice place to stay onsite, which was a huge bonus,” the bride gushed. “Since Innsbrook has plenty of room for golfing, we had a golf tournament for the guys prior to the wedding, which was a lot of fun!”

The Florida natives wanted music that complemented their surroundings and were thrilled when they came across the beautiful sounds of local string musicians, Sunset Strings.
“We chose Sunset Strings because all of their musicians are also orchestral musicians, so we knew they would be excellent and skilled,” the bride expressed. “It was very important to us that we had good music! We had a great experience with Sunset Strings. They were organized, professional, and very reasonably priced.”

When it came to bridesmaid dresses, Kristy wanted an elegant yet simple look to complement her springtime celebration and gorgeous hair and makeup from Femme Akoi Beauty Studio.
“Working with Bella Bridesmaids was fantastic because they have so many stores across the country. This made it very easy for my bridesmaids who weren’t local to get fitted and choose their style of dress,” the bride explained. “My experience at Bellas was excellent. The owner was so helpful, and each bridesmaid had a great experience getting their dress!

Looking back on their wedding day, the bride will never forget laying her eyes on Luis during the ceremony and the sweet sentiments at the reception.
“The most memorable moment for us was walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time. It was just so surreal,” Kristy reminisced. “Another special part for us was listening to all the speeches our loved ones had prepared. It was especially sweet to hear my dad's speech!”
What was your bridesmaid dress inspiration?
I wanted my bridesmaids to look elegant yet simple in a light spring color.

Something I love about Bella Bridesmaids was that they had different styles in the same color. It was also helpful that Bellas had stores across the country. What was your wedding day beauty inspiration?
I wanted to look pretty and glamorous but not too over the top. Essentially, I wanted to look like myself. I wore my hair down as usual, but more curled and styled.

I chose Femme Akoi because one of my bridesmaid's sisters was a stylist there. We did a trial and I loved how I looked. I also peeked at some pictures of other weddings they had done and was really impressed!
Why did you choose to incorporate a strings musician into your ceremony?
We wanted to have music during the ceremony and we thought the strings were perfect for an outdoor setting like we had; the pleasant sound of strings was best for the natural setting.

What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We were looking for a place that would have pretty scenery for the ceremony and pictures. Luis is an avid golfer and was very excited to be married on a golf course. We also wanted a very roomy reception hall, so everyone would be comfortable.

The Proposal:
We went to Boston for a wedding and to visit family. One of the nights we were there, Luis surprised me with a room at the Four Seasons and a romantic dinner from room service. At the end of the dinner, he got down on one knee and proposed!
