Romantic, Blue Downtown St. Pete Wedding | NOVA 535 Wedding
Glenne and Jordan’s downtown St. Pete wedding reflected the strong traditions of family and symbolism.
The bride was born and raised in the Philippines and wanted to incorporate her vibrant culture into her St. Petersburg wedding.
“When I showed Jordan photos and videos of a traditional Filipino wedding, he was thrilled with the idea of incorporating it into our own wedding,” the bride gushed. “The Filipino wedding rituals that we included in our wedding ceremony made our day truly unique with the veil, cord and arrhae (unity coins). The ‘Barong Tagalog’ suits that the groom and groomsmen wore, were made of pineapple fiber and all custom tailored from the Philippines. It was something unique to a Filipino wedding and our American friends loved it.”
The Palm Harbor couple searched for an intimate and romantic downtown St. Pete wedding venue.
“NOVA 535 was a complete package. The bamboo courtyard and the brick walls were exceptional!” the bride beamed. “From the day that we had our tour up to our wedding day, NOVA 535 never disappointed us. We were so amazed about how everything turned out!”
To capture the day’s most cherished moments, Glenne and Jordan hired St. Pete wedding photographer Kristen Marie Photography.
“We really needed a photographer who we connected with personally,” the bride explained. “Kristen of Kristen Marie Photography was a perfect choice. She was so easy to work with and we love her photography style.”

Food was an important part of the couple’s day and after much research, the pair chose Delectables Catering.
“We researched many caterers for our wedding and even went to several tastings,” Glenne said. “We couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Delectables! They have a lot of experience, so everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. The food was amazing and the staff were helpful and friendly.”

To complement their romantic wedding, the bride chose a “simple, yet elegant” wedding cake from Corey’s Bakery.
“Corey was so friendly and professional and took pride in his work. I showed him pictures of what I wanted, and he never disappointed me. It came out very pretty and our guests keeps complimenting how delicious our wedding cake was,” the bride gushed.
The Proposal:
We planned a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was the morning of November 22nd, and we were up early to hike Laurel Falls Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains.
It happened so fast. My full attention was at the Falls when all of the sudden Jordan started to kneel. He was saying something, but I could barely hear him. I asked him if he could repeat what he said, but he was already emotional; his eyes were teary and then he grabbed something from his pocket. I was still clueless on what was going on, and then he asked me very clearly, “Will you marry me?” I was crying when I said, “YES!”

Traditional/Romantic Filipino
What were your colors?
Blue is my favorite color but I wanted something different, which is why I chose the dusty shade and added peach for a feminine touch.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
On your wedding day make sure to eat something before you get ready. You won’t have time to eat the whole day even during the reception! I also suggest investing in a good photographer and videographer. It all goes by so fast! The photos and video will help you remember the details of your special day.
