Tiffany and Adam’s Halloween-inspired wedding featured a dark and moody style befitting October, filled with saturated tones of eggplant and onyx, sparkling skull accents, and crystal-studded candelabras.
“Growing up, my family and I were always huge fans of Halloween. I love every part of the Halloween season, and ever since I was in high school, I wanted to have a Halloween-themed wedding,” the bride shared. “We both love the color purple, so we chose purple, black, and gold as our colors. These colors also worked really well to make our Halloween-themed wedding more elegant but still keep that darker, moody feel.”
The Tampa bride had trouble finding relevant wedding inspiration for their spooky soiree until she found Marry Me Tampa Bay. The publication’s many holiday-themed real weddings provided creative ideas that perfectly suited their unique theme.
“I did use Marry Me Tampa Bay to find some inspiration for my wedding. It was challenging to find real weddings that were Halloween-themed that I could get ideas from, but Marry Me Tampa Bay had actually already featured a few,” Tiffany beamed. “I looked through pretty much all of them and read what the couples had to say. It was definitely helpful!”
Recognizing the value of having an experienced wedding planner to help guide them through the planning process, Tiffany sought a creative planning team who would not only understand and embrace their moody wedding vision but would also have a complementary personality and be a pleasure to work with over the coming months. Upon seeing similar wedding styles in the B Eventful portfolio, the bride reached out for a phone call and felt an instant connection.
“I wanted a planner who I felt comfortable with and clicked with. I also was looking for one who featured a Halloween-themed wedding or at least a fall/moody-themed wedding,” the bride articulated. “I chose B Eventful because they had featured a Halloween-themed wedding on their page that I thought looked amazing. I really liked their personalities when I had a phone interview with them, and I felt confident in their abilities and services.”
The pair’s mutual love of All Hallows’ Eve was reflected in details throughout the celebration, creating a truly unique experience for their 140 guests.
“We incorporated our personalities into the entire wedding by having a Halloween theme since we both love the holiday. Having a Halloween-themed wedding and requesting that all guests wear black/dark colors made it unique. Many of my guests told me they had never been to a Halloween or even a moody dark-colored wedding, so it was really unique.” Tiffany detailed. “I walked down the aisle to the song Ice Dance from Edward Scissorhands, and we used a Beetlejuice song as our reception introduction song.”
While recalling her favorite memories of the day, Tiffany treasured when all of the planning was complete, and she and Adam could be present in the moment while surrounded by those they loved most.
“The ceremony was one of the most memorable moments for me because I finally got to see all of my hard work and ideas come to fruition and see all my friends and family come together to support us,” the bride reminisced. “It was the first time we could finally relax and just start enjoying everything we had worked towards.”
Where did you host your bachelorette party?
St. Petersburg, Florida. It was local for all of my friends, and we were able to go to the beach during the day and out to bars at night. We also did a witch-themed bar crawl and a ghost tour to match with my Halloween theme.
The Proposal:
We had just purchased and remodeled our home, and we were hosting all of our family over for Thanksgiving. At one point, my mom told me she had a housewarming gift for me, which was a “new house” ornament. I handed the ornament to Adam to give my mom a hug. As I turned away to hug her, he dropped the ornament behind me, and when I turned around, he was on one knee with the ring! My mom was in on the surprise and had actually bought me a second “new house” ornament, which she gave me for real afterward.
