Vintage, Outdoor Tampa Bay Wedding | Casa Lantana Wedding
Shandi and Tyler’s vintage Tampa Bay wedding featured an outdoor wedding ceremony underneath majestic ancient oaks draped in Spanish moss and an open-air reception filled with string lighting.
“We chose a vintage, romantic, rustic, boho theme,” the bride shared. “I am a free gypsy spirit, and I wanted that to show in our wedding.”
The Tampa couple selected outdoor Tampa Bay wedding venue Casa Lantana as the backdrop for their wedding day, a gorgeous bed and breakfast event space on a private and peaceful 12 acre estate.
“We chose Casa Lantana because it reminded me of home,” Shandi explained. “I was raised in Oregon, and wanted to get married outdoors, under the stars and amongst large pine trees. Casa Lantana was perfect and resembled the northwest.”
To capture the special moments and details of their big day, the couple hired Tampa Bay wedding photographer Kéra Photography.
“I wanted someone who captured the personality and the genuine moments. This is exactly what Kéra did,” Shandi gushed. “She fit right in with our wedding party and did an amazing job capturing the authentic loving moments.”

Looking back, one of the bride’s most memorable moments occurred during the wedding ceremony.
“Tyler’s vows were incredible. He said them straight from his heart, nothing written and it was truly the most beautiful loving moment I have ever noticed. The world disappeared, and I felt like it were just he and I up there. It was the most meaningful thing anyone has ever said to me,” Shandi reminisced.
The Proposal:
Tyler took me to the Loews Don Cesar for a nice dinner; while we waited for our reservation we went to the beach to watch the sunset. He took out a blanket, and we sat on it. As he got down to secure the blanket, he reached in his pocket, got on one knee, asked me to be his one and only forever and to marry him.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
I wanted a gorgeous outdoor wedding that looked like a vintage, rustic and outdoor fairytale.
At Casa Lantana we were able to have the best of both worlds: outdoor wedding and partially indoors. I knew as soon as I walked in, that it would be my wedding venue. Tyler and I also loved the fact that the package was all inclusive. Giselle, the owner, was an amazing, organized planner and our initial tour and meeting with her was amazing. Her personality is so enjoyable; she has amazing customer service.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
I wanted someone who captured the personality and the genuine moments.
This is exactly what Kéra Photography did. Kera fit right in with our wedding party and did an amazing job capturing the authentic loving moments. I loved her photos on her Instagram. She also had amazing reviews. They all seemed very unique, because I could see she was catering and creating a series of photos that were unique and a representation of the couples and families she was photographing, and it was evident in her photography.
How would you describe your theme?
We chose a vintage, romantic, rustic, boho theme. I had large garden roses as a theme, even on my invitations. I am a free gypsy spirit, and I wanted that to show in our wedding. Antiques were a huge part of the wedding. Every centerpiece was unique with eclectic types of antiques.
What were your colors?
We chose blush, champagne, and neutrals, with a hint of pastels. There was no strict color. I wanted it to all mesh well and look amazing. I thought that blush would complement our bridal party skin tones, and it is the most romantic color. We did not discriminate with the metals silvers/golds were all involved: rose gold, gold, and silver, which is typically a no-no, but it looked amazing.
