Lindsey and Brian’s intimate Sarasota wedding featured a gorgeous nautical theme that highlighted the bride and groom’s Florida heritage. The Palmetto couple chose a navy and burgundy color palette that perfectly set the tone for the waterfront wedding at the bride’s parents’ home.
“Our theme was Old Florida with some nautical inspiration. Both of our families go back multiple generations in Florida and have backgrounds in fishing,” the bride shared.

On their quest to plan the perfect fall Sarasota wedding, the Florida natives searched for a wedding planner whom they knew they could trust.
“We hired Kelly of Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events because of the testimonials from past clients who had wonderful experiences with her. We loved her! She really made sure our day was perfect and special to us,” the bride gleamed.

Something the newlyweds agreed upon early on was finding a way to incorporate their loved ones into their wedding day.
“It was really important for both of us to involve our families on our special day,” Lindsey shared. “Having the wedding at my parents’ house was a huge part of this, but we also had Brian’s uncle’s band play the reception and his second cousin was our officiant.”
Reminiscing on the day they tied the knot, the couple recalled a few memories that will hold a place in their hearts forever.
“Coming down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun was a really beautiful moment during the ceremony, but the most memorable part overall was all the dancing to the band during the reception,” the bride reminisced.
