Kayla and Logan’s waterfront St. Petersburg wedding featured a soft color palette of white and dusty blue, organic cascades of flora and greenery, and sweeping sunset views.
“We both wanted a timeless and elegant design for our ceremony and reception. The soft colors and simple details will be loved and remembered for the rest of our lives,” the bride shared. “We chose soft blue and white with hints of silver for our colors. We thought these colors fit our romantic, elegant, and timeless theme.”
The local St. Pete couple hosted an intimate celebration with only 12 immediate family members and focused on the meaning behind the celebration as much as the experience itself. They turned to Tampa Bay wedding officiant, A Wedding With Grace to help create an authentic, custom wedding ceremony.
“We were looking for an officiant who was easy to talk to and understood our wedding day vision. Instead of reading written vows to each other, we wanted someone to tell our story,” Kayla detailed. “After speaking with Grace and having such a great conversation, we knew we wanted to work with her immediately! She told our story perfectly, and she’s just the sweetest!”
Kayla prioritized her décor elements to create unique focal points throughout the celebration, including crescent arches with suspended floral arrangements as a stunning ceremony backdrop and large light up letters surrounded by balloons. Additional decorative elements included gossamer sweetheart linens and elegant white chairs courtesy of Gabro Event Services to help transform the rooftop restaurant into a chic reception space.
“We rented our ceremony and dinner/reception chairs, a flowy sweetheart tablecloth, and silver sequin pillows from Gabro Event Services,” Kayla revealed. “The chairs had a really pretty design that we were able to easily decorate with blue cheesecloth fabric. The sweetheart tablecloth fit our romantic wedding day theme, and the silver sequin pillows added a nice touch to the bride and groom chairs.”
Looking back, the intimate moments and expressions of love stood out to Kayla as the most emotional parts of the day.
“I have looked forward to dancing with my dad at my wedding since I was little, so that will always be one of my favorite memories. Our reception was so much fun, and our band brought our day to life!” the bride reminisced.

The Proposal:
Logan and I have been traveling together since we met in 2013. We have visited 27 countries together and decided to add another to our list. I was also celebrating my 30th birthday, so we planned a trip to Croatia to celebrate!
We had spent two weeks exploring, starting in Dubrovnik and island hopping our way to Split. One of our favorite things to do in a new country is to go on a sunset cruise. We took a private sunset cruise along the Croatian coast. During the first hour of the trip, we enjoyed a bottle of champagne while reflecting back on all our adventures together. As the sun began to set, the boat approached the beautifully lit Split Riviera. Logan got down on one knee to ask me the most important question of his life.
How did your rentals enhance the ambiance of your wedding?
We ended up renting our ceremony and dinner/reception chairs, a flowy sweetheart table cloth, and two silver sequin pillows from Gabro Event Services.
The chairs had a really pretty design that we were able to easily decorate with blue cheesecloth fabric. The sweetheart tablecloth fit our romantic wedding day theme, and the silver sequin pillows added a nice touch to the bride and groom chairs.
Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
We feel so incredibly lucky and blessed to have found all of our vendors! They were all outstanding and helped make our day amazing! Finding a photographer and videographer that matched our style and wedding day vision was so important. They were truly amazing! We also can’t say enough great things about A Wedding With Grace and Matt Winter Band!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
First, the day goes by so fast, so try to enjoy it and soak up all the moments with friends and family.
Second, don’t worry about the small things, no one will notice.
Finally, stay true to yourself, it’s your day!
