Glamorous St. Pete Beach Wedding | The Don CeSar Wedding
Chaya and Michael’s glamorous St. Pete Beach wedding featured a romantic color palette of champagne, blush and burgundy, with a romantic theme at a timeless St. Pete Beach wedding venue.
“I wanted a theme that would match the beauty and old world charm of our venue,” the bride explained. “My favorite quote is, ‘You can never be overdressed or overeducated,’ by Oscar Wilde, so that had a big impact.”
While searching for a waterfront St. Petersburg wedding venue, the Ovideo couple chose the iconic Pink Palace for its ballroom atmosphere, beautiful chandeliers and elegant touches.
“The Don CeSar had everything I was looking for in a venue. It has the iconic old world glamour I wanted, matched with being on the beach that made it the perfect fit for both of us,” Chaya beamed. “We couldn’t have been happier with their service. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our guests stays and our wedding wonderful.”
The bride and groom had a very specific look they wanted in a St. Petersburg wedding photographer, which came down to one company, Limelight Photography.
“I wanted glamorous pictures, very editorial. Every venue we went to had samples of photographs, and I was drawn to the same book every time, which was those of Limelight Photography, that is how I knew they were the ones,” Chaya explained. “Their service was incredible! They kept us on time despite the fact I had given them a list of shots I wanted that was a mile long.”

Looking back, the bride’s most cherished memories occurred with her father and husband.
“Walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Michael for the first time and my dad and I’s first dance were memorable,” the bride reminisced.
How would you describe your theme?
Classic and elegant. I wanted something that would match the beauty and old world charm of the The Don CeSar. My favorite quote is, “You can never be overdressed or overeducated,” by Oscar Wilde, so that had a big impact.
What were your colors?
Champagne, blush, taupe and burgundy. I knew I wanted champagne and blush from the start. My girls were always going to be in champagne dresses, plus it went well with my old world glamour theme. I decided to add burgundy for a pop of color and since it was a fall wedding.
The Proposal:
I had been talking with Michael for over a year about wanting to take a trip to New York City. We had never been, and I really thought it would be a cool experience. It was the weekend leading up to July 4th, and I was under the impression we were going to my brother-in-law’s house in Jacksonville Beach for the long weekend. When I got home, Michael told me he had a surprise and that we were going to NYC instead. He had everything packed, tickets purchased for all the entertainment and was ready to go. In shock, I said okay and was thankful that I had just gotten some new clothes the week before!
The weekend was a whirlwind of excitement, fantastic shows, epic food and wonderful sights. On the night of July 4th, he surprised me with a dinner cruise on the Hudson River. It was there, on the top deck, that he proposed with the Macy’s fireworks exploding overhead. It could not have been more perfect or magical! To make it even better, we ended the night with greasy NYC pizza and a street vendor hot dog.

We chose The Don CeSar because they had everything I was looking for in a venue. When I was a little girl, we went on a family vacation to St. Pete Beach and my parents took to me to the iconic Pink Palace for dinner. It was there I saw a wedding taking place, and I fell in love. It was beyond perfect that it ended up being our venue. It has the iconic old world glamour I wanted, matched with being on the beach that made it the perfect fit for both of us. We couldn’t have been happier with their service. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our guests stays and our wedding wonderful. Every detail was thought of and taken care of, down to the mini custom chocolate mousses (my favorite dessert) being delivered to our rooms to having the chef make a Cuban sandwich for my husband and I the night after the wedding because we never got one during the wedding.
