Sabrina and Andrew’s Tampa Heights wedding was a beautifully intimate indoor celebration that used stunning design and delicious food to create the perfect night. The couple used a subtle summer color palette of light neutrals with whimsical pops of blush and burnt orange that created an elegant bohemian ambiance in an industrial setting.
“Our colors consisted of soft whites, neutrals, sandy blush, greenery, and burnt orange. Since it was a summer wedding, we wanted it to feel light, airy, and natural while still having pops of more vibrant colors,” Sabrina explained. “We did not really have a theme, but we wanted it to have whimsy and a romantic vibe while still being modern enough to complement our industrial venue.”
Sabrina turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay regularly while researching vendors and looking for tips on how to plan a summer wedding in west-central Florida.
“I did use Marry Me Tampa Bay to look for vendors. It is so nice to have all of their preferred vendors all in one place! I also loved all of the advice, tips, and tricks posted on Instagram,” the bride shared. “We live in St. Petersburg, and we chose to have the wedding in the Tampa Bay area because this is where we call home! We love this city and wanted to create this memory right here in Tampa.”
While designing their ceremony and reception of 100 guests, Sabrina knew she would need a Tampa wedding planner who could embrace her ideas and deliver the dream experience she had been planning for months.
“I was looking for someone who was able to take my vision and bring it to life! I love all things weddings and events, so I did most of the planning from the beginning, but I could not have done it without the help of our amazing planner Lauren,” the bride gushed. “We hired Coastal Coordinating for a ‘month of’ planning package and were given above and beyond service! Lauren checked in with me a couple of months before the big day and assisted in any area we needed. She knows her stuff, is very easy to talk to, and did a flawless job of relieving stress and making our wedding day dreams come true! Instead of worrying about all the details of the big day, I got to just enjoy being a bride.”
The high school sweethearts ended their magical evening with a delicious treat that would impress their guests and leave everyone in awe over the beauty and flavor of their wedding cake.
“We wanted our cake to be delicious, natural, and gorgeous. I am obsessed with florals and wanted that to be the pop of color and design. We had a classic white buttercream with flowers,” the bride beamed. “A friend told me about The Artistic Whisk and how amazing it was, so I had to set up a tasting! We had the best experience, and every flavor was a 10. Jovana is inviting, a great listener, and an expert at what she does. We went with strawberries and champagne and joyful chocolate almond for our flavors. Our cake looked gorgeous and tasted even better!”
While reminiscing on the beauty of their wedding day, Sabrina and Andrew savored the iconic moments the most.
“The most memorable moments of our special day were walking down the aisle with my dad by my side and seeing Andrew’s first reaction. We also loved getting to worship after our vows as we became husband and wife. It was a very raw and intimate moment,” Sabrina shared. “Last but not least, we had an amazing party at the reception! I will never forget dancing the night away with my sweet husband, best friends, and family.”
The Proposal:
The proposal was at Oxford Exchange in Tampa and was a complete surprise. Andrew planned a tour of the building after hours and said he would be at work, but instead was waiting with a ring in the Conservatory. He had all of our closest friends and family there to celebrate. It was truly a dream!
What did you look for in a wedding planner?
I was looking for someone who was able to take my vision and bring it to life! Instead of worrying about all the details of the big day, I got to just enjoy being a bride.
We hired Coastal Coordinating because of their raving reviews, affordability, and exceptional service. From the very first phone call to the day of, they did an amazing job. Lauren was extremely organized, helpful, and took the stress off of us. She encouraged us to fully enjoy the day and she took care of the rest. I highly recommend Lauren and the entire Coastal Coordinating team to all brides looking for someone to trust with your wedding day.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
I would advise other couples to remember what this day is really about and let everything else come from that. Do not be afraid to do something different and work to create something that is unique to who you are as a couple. Prioritize the top three things that you would like for your big day and hire vendors that you trust to make magic. Remember that this day is about the two of you promising your lives to each other, and it will be the best day ever!
