Shelbey and Danny’s waterfront Tampa wedding featured a mint and gray color palette and a beachy theme, fitting for locals bride and groom.
“We chose a variation of Danny’s company’s colors. He and his brothers started Nardos Natural Skin Care, and their theme is aqua. The business is a big part of our lives so we wanted it to incorporated on our special day,” the bride explained.
The Tampa couple spend as much time as they can on the water, so selecting a Tampa wedding venue located literally on the water was a no brainer for them.
“After touring the the Yacht StarShip one date night, we fell in love with the ambiance and with the concept of celebrating our marriage on the water,” the couple gushed. “The all-inclusive service made our lives so much easier; the Yacht StarShip was able to take care of so many things. The food, staff and service were absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the planning to the actual reception.”
Inspired by their boho theme, the bride chose a natural makeup look with soft, flowing curls by Tampa wedding hair and makeup artist Femme Akoi.
“After my trial run I fell in love with their style and staff, Shelbey shared. “On our wedding day, Femme Akoi was punctual and an absolute pleasure to have around while getting ready. I have recommended them to friends who have used them as their bridal hair and makeup as well!”
Focusing on the things that they love the most: food, music and dancing, Shelbey and Danny kept their Tampa wedding lighthearted and exciting to embody their personalities.
“The band and the dancing as well as the flow of everything was so important to us. We wanted it to flow well and for everyone to have the time of their lives! Breaking away for a sunset photo on the Yacht was surreal. We were able to calm down and focus on each other and the beauty surrounding us,” the couple reminisced.
The Proposal:
Danny proposed to during his grandmother’s 85th surprise birthday party on the Arnold Palmer golf course in front of our families. I was so caught up in surprising his grandmother that I had absolutely no idea I would end up being the most surprised that day.
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Beachy/boho. It fit so perfectly with our lifestyles and personalities.
What were your colors?
