Clearwater Beach Destination Wedding | Sandpearl Resort Wedding
Rachel and Zach’s shared love for the beach drew them to Clearwater Beach for their Florida destination wedding.
“We chose to get married in Florida because I have always wanted a beach wedding, however, I didn’t want to get married on the sand,” the bride explained. The Sandpearl Resort had a beautiful lawn that overlooked an amazing beach. I was able to have the beach wedding of my dreams and still wear fabulous heels without having to worry about the sand.”
The Texas couple focused on the location, flowers and band for their nautical themed destination wedding. And to assist planning their Clearwater Beach wedding, the pair hired wedding planner Special Moments.
“After reading the reviews, I felt very confident in Special Moments. Tammy talked to me for a while and really listened to what I was picturing for my wedding,” Rachel shared. “She was the most amazing wedding planner! I will not do another party without her. She really made all of my dreams for my wedding come true and was careful to stay within our budget!”

Looking back, one Rachel’s most unforgettable moments came at the end of her wedding reception.
“One of my favorite moments was dancing to the last song of the night, Living on a Prayer, with Zach in the middle of all our friends singing and dancing!” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
Zach surprised me by taking me to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Uchi, and then to see The Book of Mormon.
When we got home that night, I went upstairs to let our dog out and the room was lit with a pathway of candle lights and rose petals. On our bed was champagne, rose petals and the ring! He dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Then he yelled, “You guys can come out!”
To top it all off, he had both of our parents fly into town to be there for our engagement! It was so sweet and so romantic.
Why did you hire wedding planner?
I hired a wedding planner to help keep me organized with all the planning and details that go into a wedding, especially since I don’t live in Florida and was not familiar with the Clearwater/Tampa area. After reading the reviews, I felt very confident in Special Moments. Tammy talked to me for a while and really listened to what I was picturing for my wedding. She was so friendly, professional, creative, organized and thorough! She was able to help us problem solve and create the wedding of our dreams. Every suggestion of various vendors was right on point and was exactly what we were looking for! I will not do another party without her. She really made all of my dreams for my wedding come true and was careful to stay within our budget!
How would you describe your theme?
We always wanted to have a beach wedding; we incorporated a nautical theme with the stunning beach location
What were your colors?
White, turquoise and silver. We chose them because we both love blue palettes, and they complimented our nautical theme.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
Definitely think about hiring a wedding or “day of” planner. I would hands down suggest Special Moments!
If you don’t hire a wedding planner, I would use a wedding blog where you can read other brides’ reviews.
