Malia and Jeremy’s waterfront Dunedin wedding brought together the Trinity couple’s love for the water and the outdoors. The bride and groom chose nearby Dunedin for its small-town feel and stunning waterfront views.
“We wanted both the church and reception location to be close to one another so it would be easy for our friends and family members to find it. We visit Marker 8 at Beso Del Sol often, and when we found out about their reception room upstairs, we fell in love,” the bride gushed. “Pam at Beso helped us out along the way with any concerns and questions we had. The views are the best in Dunedin!”

Malia chose a vintage, peach theme with beach surroundings.
“The church and my dress were vintage, and our venue is on the water,” she explained. “Getting to see the sunset as we partied into the night is not something most people get to experience. It was important to us that our guests loved the church and reception location as much as we did.”

Looking back on her wedding day, it was important for the bride to have the time and space to get ready for her big day with family. Malia chose not to have a bridal party, but instead spent that intimate time with family.
“Getting ready with my mom and stepdaughter Peyton before the wedding meant the world to me. I also had a friend bring our dog by so we could take pictures before and after the wedding. Every aspect of the day went so smoothly from start to finish,” the bride reminisced. “Getting to see my husband’s face when I walked down the aisle will forever be engraved in my heart. My husband’s brother passed away this past December so our wedding day was the last big memorable event he had with him, which means the world to us both.”
The Proposal:
Jeremy knows how much I love our dog Daisy so he put the ring on her collar. She ran to me, and he dropped down on one knee.
How would you describe your theme/design inspiration?
Vintage/beachy. The church and my dress were vintage, and our venue is on the water.
What were your colors?
I love peonies, so I chose different shades of peach.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We wanted both the church and reception location to be close to one another so it would be easy for our friends and family members to find it. It was important to us that our guests loved the church and reception location as much as we did.
