Tropical Gold Waterfront Tampa Wedding | Yacht StarShip Wedding
Stacie and Frederick’s downtown Tampa wedding featured a sweeping waterfront views in the heart of the city.
“We chose to have our wedding in Channelside to have city and water views,” the bride shared. “We both love going out on the water. Frederick likes to fish, and I like to sun tan.”
The Tampa couple chose a gold and tropical theme “with a touch of fancy.”
“Our wedding was far from traditional. I had a gold and white wedding dress. We had gold pineapples sitting around the reception room and gold sangria bottles as wedding favors,” Stacie explained.
Instead of hosting their wedding in a traditional ballroom, the couple searched for a unique waterfront Tampa wedding venue.
“The Yacht Starship was amazing! Our reception window views were constantly changing as we coasted through the gorgeous Tampa Bay,” the bride gushed. “They included a wedding coordinator, and it made the wedding planning that much more easy breezy. I loved that I did not have to hire separate vendors for food, drinks, chairs and tables.”
Looking back, some of Stacie’s most cherished memories were the sweet moments she experienced with Frederick throughout the day.
“Our most memorable moments were seeing each other for the first time, holding hands and happily staring at each other while saying our vows and our first kiss as husband and wife,” the bride reminisced.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We wanted our wedding ceremony and reception on a yacht in Tampa Bay.
The Yacht Starship was amazing! Our reception window views were constantly changing as we coasted through the gorgeous Tampa Bay. They included a wedding coordinator, and it made the wedding planning that much more easy breezy. I loved that I did not have to hire separate vendors for food, drinks, chairs and tables. [Their staff was] super nice to work with. They cooked up a delicious “Taste of Tampa” feast. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
The Proposal:
It was Christmas Eve. Frederick gave me a present to unwrap and inside read, “Will you marry me?” I looked at him and he had a diamond ring in his hand. Of course, I said ‘Yes!’
How would you describe your theme?
Gold and tropical. I wanted a laid back tropical wedding with a touch of fancy.
What were your colors?
Gold and mango
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Enjoy the wedding planning. Be more excited and happy than nervous and scared on your wedding day. It goes by so fast.
At least one thing will go differently than planned. Soak it up, and go with the flow, because it will still be beautiful.
