Just a short time ago, in a galaxy not too far away, Olivia and Chris’ Star Wars-inspired Tampa Heights wedding wowed their guests with starlit walls, shades of blue and gold geometric details, and out-of-this-world towering centerpieces.
“My inspiration for the wedding design came from the vibes of our venue, industrial but classy and elegant,” the bride explained. “My husband is obsessed with Star Wars, so we were able to add some small touches to the guest book, groom’s cake, and our recessional song! The element that was most important to us was the signature drink, named after our pugs.”
The Orlando couple customized each element of their celebration to reflect their personalities. It was those details that the bride attributes for making her wedding day truly one-of-a-kind.
“Our wedding was unique because it really fit us as people and as a couple,” Olivia stated. “There were small touches we had both picked out that described us perfectly.”
To complement her lace gown and adorable personalized jean jacket, the bride selected a braided updo.
“My wedding hair and makeup inspiration were very feminine and glam without going too over the top. I picked Femme Akoi Beauty Studio because their pictures on Instagram really fit the aesthetic I was looking for. They did a great job, and Lana made me feel amazing!” Olivia raved.
It was important to Olivia and Chris that all of their 100 guests have a memorable experience during their reception, so they wanted a DJ that would get everyone on their feet.
“When looking for a DJ, we wanted someone who would keep people on the dance floor at all times,” Olivia shared. “Grant Hemond & Associates was the DJ for my dad’s wedding nine years ago! They were great and really got everyone dancing all night.”
The pair provided glowing props for the dance floor, which ended up being one of Olivia’s favorite memories of the evening.
“The most memorable moment of our wedding was towards the end. Glow sticks were passed out and everyone went into party mode. So much fun!” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
Chris proposed on Longboat Key Beach with a bottle in the sand. His family was sitting nearby watching, and my best friend photographed it all. It was magical!
What were your wedding hair and makeup inspiration?

Where did you go on your bachelorette trip?
St. Augustine, FL. It was low-key because of the pandemic, but still so much fun! Chris stayed local in Orlando for his bachelor party. We are holding off on our honeymoon to vacation to Iceland!
