Natalie and Chad’s romantic downtown St. Pete wedding featured an intimate outdoor ceremony, dreamy gold details, and elegant spring inspiration. With greenery sprinkled about and a soft blush pink color palette, the bride and groom hosted a modern whimsical affair.
“I would describe our theme as timeless and elegant! I have always been inclined to go the more classic route when it comes to my style and for me, there’s just something so elegant about simplicity,” the bride beamed. “Our colors were blush pink and lots of green florals; it was appropriate for spring, romantic and went with the timeless feel we were going for!”

As the pieces started to fall into place, the bride discovered Marry Me Tampa Bay and learned more about local wedding vendors.
“I saw Marry Me Tampa Bay during my online searches for local vendors. It helped me narrow down local wedding vendors and get some design inspiration,” Natalie shared.
From the start, the St. Pete couple knew that finding an experienced caterer who could provide a selection of amazing food for their guest list of 135 was important.
“I am so glad we worked with Olympia Catering because I’ve never had catering that spectacular! I would have chosen them again if I could. There are so many options, and every one of our guests was able to find something they liked!” the bride gushed. “The staff was everywhere, and no need went unmet. They were professional, timely, and so kind. They noticed that we were going table to table greeting our guests before eating and brought us warm plates so our meals were still hot! Throughout the process, Nancy was our main contact, and she is 100% the reason our wedding went perfectly. Everyone we worked with was extremely friendly, and I couldn’t say anything but great things about them!”

Envisioning the perfect wedding invitation suite that set the tone for their big day and was easily customizable, the bride and groom chose A&P Design Co. for their creative eye.
“I spent hours looking online, and I couldn’t find the perfect suite. I would like the font but hate the colors, and it started to become a frustrating process. When I found A&P Designs, I was so relieved because I knew they’d be able to create something that was exactly what I envisioned,” the bride explained. “They actually painted a sketch of our venue and incorporated it into our invitation suite! Alicia was fantastic and had such creative ideas! The service truly was exceptional throughout the process; she always listened to what I was looking for. While going through the editing process, she was so patient and really made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it!”

The element that mattered the most to Natalie and Chad was the atmosphere, and they made sure their guests were celebrating the whole night.
“Chad and I had been together for almost nine years, so this was a long time coming! We wanted our happiness to be contagious and for everyone to have the time of their lives celebrating with us,” the bride gushed. “For the most part, everyone knew each other. It wasn’t a ‘her side’ or ‘his side’ type of thing. We have known each other since middle school, so our friend group is shared. Additionally, our families have always been very involved with each other so it really felt like a room full of those closest to us!”
Looking back on their dreamy celebration, two memories stood out the most to the bride and groom.
“The most memorable moments were our first look and dancing with everyone! We were not going to do a first look but changed our mind a couple of weeks before the wedding. It was by far the best choice we could have made! We got the jitters out and actually got to spend time together on our wedding day. It made the whole day stress-free and gave us more time to spend with all of our friends before the ceremony,” the bride shared. “Our other favorite part of the night was all of the dancing! It was so much fun!”

The Proposal:
Our proposal was incredible, and I was totally surprised! Chad and I went on a trip with some friends to Germany and stopped by Neuschwanstein Castle. I was so surprised even though we had been together for seven years at that point! We spent all day exploring and hiked up to a mountain that overlooked the castle at sunset. That’s when Chad popped the question, and it was the easiest, “Yes” ever!
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Timeless and elegant! I have always been inclined to go the more classic route when it comes to my style and for me, there’s just something so elegant about simplicity.
What were your colors?
Blush pink and lots of green florals. I went with that because I felt it was appropriate for spring, romantic, and went with the timeless feel we were going for!
What was your menu inspiration?
The inspiration mostly revolved around my goal to have wedding food everyone would love! I went off the recommendations of our venue contact, Nancy. We went with favorites such as spanikopita, Cuban egg-rolls, crab-cakes, and grilled cheese sliders. For the entrée, everyone had chicken and filet. There was something for everyone! I still have people complimenting how amazing the food was!
