We were looking for a florist that was flexible, talented, understanding of budget, and who wanted to bring my vision to life.

Jean King, owner, and florist at Monarch Events And Design was amazing! She is so kind and understanding and does beautiful work! From start to finish, she was so easy to work with, and I felt so comfortable/confident knowing she was going to take care of everything. Our florals were exactly as I envisioned and more!

I envisioned something simple and not too over the top. I had the initial call with Jean at Monarch Events and Design, and I knew that she was my girl. She went above and beyond for us, and I couldn't have had anyone better. She even built our circular arch for us by hand and ordered rustic wooden table numbers.

We made sure that where we were using flowers, it was really purposeful. We only got one bouquet and boutonniere, then used bud vases for the cocktail and reception tables. We also stayed pretty minimalist with the decorations on the chuppah and chose to only use greenery at the ceremony. Joey's corsage was an orchid, as that was a meaningful flower for his mom, that is no longer with us.

Our big flower item was the floral chandelier over the patio. Since this was the center of the venue, we felt it was okay to spend a bit more to make it an exciting feature, and it turned out gorgeous with lots of greenery, flowers, and twinkle lights.

Flowers can get expensive really quickly, and we felt like Monarch Events And Design really understood our vision and could do it all at a really reasonable price. Jean's work was gorgeous, and we were so happy with the chandelier, bouquet, and all of the decor.

One of the most important elements of our wedding would have had to be the florals since it was such a big part of our theme. We wanted flowers everywhere in the most vibrant jewel tones.

When we were looking for a wedding florist we wanted to find someone who understood our vision. Not only that but someone who could make it work within our budget. Our theme was “Let Love Grow” so it was the most important factor. Jean from Monarch Events and Designs was the first florist we scheduled an actual appointment with after many failed attempts and discussions with other florists in the Tampa Bay Area. As soon as we met her we knew we wanted to work with her on our big day. She was so sweet and helpful throughout our process. She gives 110% and truly makes you feel special. We not only walked away from our wedding experience with absolutely beautiful flowers but we walked away with a great friend in Jean. We specifically hired Monarch Events solely because of Jean and how she runs her business; professional, caring, personal, and affordable. She made our vision happen after plenty of rearranging the design details. I was so impressed by her professionalism and ability to make our creative dreams come true no matter the challenge. Their service was top notch. I will be using them again for any future floral needs.

My guests are still raving about our flowers at our wedding. They were truly breathtaking. Everyone couldn’t believe the ambiance; it was magic at its finest. Jean not only was a delight to work with but her work just blew us all away. It truly was a highlight of my day walking into our venue seeing her creation before all the guests arrived. It far exceeded my expectations. We worked so closely with Jean from Monarch Events and Designs to make our vision a reality. It couldn’t have come out more beautifully.

I wanted a florist that was experienced and worked with the style I liked. When I met Jean from Monarch Events and Design, she asked all the right questions and really listened to my ideas and improved on them. She met me at the venue to make sure we had all the elements we needed for space, then sent me a quote with every element of my vision detailed line by line. She listed the flowers and greenery that would go into each bouquet, garland, aisle marker, urns, and vases. The quote also had pictures of each flower and plant that would be used. I shared my Pinterest page with her that showed some of my inspiration ideas for the wedding, and she used the photos for reference, which I thought was a really great way to visualize the whole picture.

Monarch Events went above and beyond for our wedding. They showed up on time and helped to set up the venue, then came back before midnight to breakdown the pieces that were rented. I absolutely adored my bouquet and got so many compliments on it and the rest of the floral arrangements around the venue. Jean must be a psychic because she brought an extra arrangement that was needed last minute to hide an unexpected eyesore on our “Welcome to the Wedding” sign and didn’t charge us for it! I highly recommend Jean and Monarch Events and Design.

I wanted something classic, elegant, yet chic. Jean from Monarch Events & Design was recommended to me by Marry Me Tampa Bay because I suddenly no longer had a florist a few weeks prior to the wedding date. Jean was so sweet, accommodating, and wonderful!

Flowers are expensive, and I wanted a vendor who would make every dollar count. I wanted all the flowers within budget! We had a lot of décor to work with, and I needed a vendor who was on board with the vision and indulged in it. I love flowers, lots of them, and we needed many centerpieces and to fill the tables with flowers, candles, and greenery. Other vendors had minimums, and they only offered a standard look. I wanted the flexibility and to be able to stand out from what has been done over and over again in most weddings

It was clear from the first meeting that Jean from Monarch Events & Design was on board and ready to make my dream vision come true! I didn’t need to look for other options; she had it all. Jean is so friendly, kind, and very creative. She had many resources and ideas. It was easy to modify looks or quantities when needed, and we were able to stretch our budget a lot further than expected, which is such a good feeling.

I wanted a florist who had talent, was easy to work with and had a bunch of prior work that I could see. We knew florals would be a big expense, but they were important. I could take or leave a lot of other “extras” but florals were not negotiable.

I chose Jean King, with Monarch Events and Design, after speaking with six other florists. Jean spent many hours over the last six months of our wedding planning, talking with me on the phone, texting with me, and meeting with me. I would randomly text her a photo of something that I liked or something that I wanted to add on, and she would give me her honest advice or recommendation, or simply just tell me that I had such wonderful taste. Who doesn’t love to hear that?

Jean exceeded our expectations as our centerpieces were even larger and grander than I anticipated. She understood my vision more than I even did! She also added in extra touches that we did not even talk about, but which made me so happy to see. It’s all in the details. She is a true gem! Jean really understood my vision, was able to execute it, and most importantly did not overcharge us. She had to revise our contract with my constant changes and add-ons about 10x and never once complained. Jean is such a kind person, and she truly wanted our day to look beautiful. It was such a pleasure working with her.

I wanted a florist who could take my vision and make it better than I could have ever imagined, someone who cared for each bride and wedding as if it were their own, and someone who had a great personality that I would feel comfortable with.

I chose Monarch Events and Design because Jean is the whole package! She had everything that I was looking for in a florist and designer. She is incredibly passionate about what she does. She took my ideas and created the most beautiful wedding and was so much fun to work with. Not only was she my florist, but she also did the rentals of my chairs, chargers, linens, drapery, and vintage seating. This made planning so much easier.

We didn’t just need a florist but a floral designer. Jean King came highly recommended by our planner. We hired Monarch Events and Design because she absolutely nailed our vision of what we wanted our floral arrangements to look like.

We knew we wanted flowers at our wedding, but we didn't know exactly what we wanted and all the little details of what a florist could provide, so we were looking for someone who was patient, could explain the process to us, and give us ideas on what we could have at our wedding while staying within our desired budget.

Monarch Events and Design was on the preferred vendor list from our venue, and we also noticed their work on Marry Me Tampa Bay and saw they had a lot of good reviews. After our first call with Jean, we knew we had to book her! She was everything (and more) that we could have asked for in a florist. She was patient, thorough, kind, and organized. She explained the entire process, talked through every little detail, gave us inspiration, and did it all by staying within our budget. She was beyond organized, and communicative, and helped us with our vision even when we didn't know what we wanted. Even with all the questions we had and changes we made along the way, she had the best attitude and handled everything with ease. Her service was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations!

The budget was extremely important as we got very differing quotes from various florists. Communication was also important as well. We wanted a florist that really understood what we wanted.

We had an awful experience with our initial florist where we paid them in full and never heard from them again. Two months before our wedding we thought we weren’t going to have florals. But thankfully we found Jean from Monarch Events and Design who was so wonderful and reassuring that she understood my vision and our insane circumstances booking her so last minute. She hands down exceeded our expectations. Our florals were one of my favorite details of the day. She did such an amazing job, and I’d recommend her over and over again. She went above and beyond what we discussed in our planning phone calls. I call her my wedding angel because she saved our wedding!
