Grant Hemond & Associates was the DJ for my dad’s wedding nine years ago! They were great and really got everyone dancing all night.

Music was incredibly important to us. Over the course of our engagement, we compiled playlists of music we wanted to have played during cocktail hour or dinner, in other words, songs that we really liked but that you couldn’t really dance to, songs we wanted for the reception, as well as a “do not play” list. I’ve been to enough weddings to know that the DJ makes all of the difference in whether or not the reception is fun for the guests.

As I researched DJs, I noticed Grant Hemond & Associates had been in business for over three decades and had thousands of glowing five-star reviews online. I liked that they could do the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as provide uplighting. We had Craig Hemond as our DJ and he was just phenomenal. He spent over two hours with us on the phone, discussing how the music would go for the ceremony, cocktail hour, wedding party intros, and reception, and answering every question I had. He was incredibly thorough and just the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. Craig totally understood what I wanted for my reception, I told him I needed this to be a throwback to the late 90s/early 2000s. He knew how to get people on that dance floor, and everyone had such a fun time! And he made our reception look amazing as well with the uplighting, which we asked to be a dark teal color. He also had the ability to change the colors throughout the night and to have them change along with the beat of the music.

I had worked with Grant Hemond & Associates for a few years and was always impressed by the level of service by not only their DJs but their office staff as well. In planning my own wedding, I had pretty much made my mind up about hiring them when I came across their 5-star reviews and figured they have to be doing everything right to earn such a rating!

DJ Adam from Grant Hemond & Associates was spot-on. He found a way to mix our very eclectic music style (ranging from reggae to country to pop and throwbacks) and made it all flow seamlessly. From our first phone interview with DJ Adam, we knew he’d be a great fit for our personalities and that of our guests. He was very laid-back and professional, and the office staff was just the same. The company came recommended by The Don CeSar, so we had trust built-in from the start.

During the reception, we incorporated songs from all different music genres that we enjoy listening to together, including country, hip-hop, and some classic oldies like Frank Sinatra.

We had heard Eric Harding from Grant Hemond & Associates deejay at a previous wedding we had gone to and thoroughly enjoyed it, so we reached out and he was available for our big day!

Eric was super easy to communicate with and played all the songs we wanted and more, keeping the energy up all the way through to our incredible NYE countdown!

Tony from Grant Hemond and Associates was our DJ. He arranged a call with us the week before the wedding where we went through the entire schedule. He made us feel at ease and was extremely organized! On the day of the wedding, Tony played all of the songs that we were hoping for. He also went above and beyond, even coming over and asking if we needed our drinks refilled before speeches! He kept the energy up throughout the evening and was extremely professional.

For me, my top three elements were: good food, good drinks, and a wild dance floor (I may or may not have done the worm in my wedding dress)! We wanted a DJ who was reliable and who had a good reputation.

Then I learned that they partnered with Hotel Zamora and one of their wedding packages included a DJ from Grant Hemond. We got paired with the wonderful Steve Lange. He was so great. You could really tell he had been playing weddings for a while, and he made everything so easy and fun. My reception guests danced the night away with Steve. 10-star service definitely!

He has the absolute most wonderful presence, did a wonderful job providing sound at our ceremony and cocktail hour, and mixed club-worthy music for the reception.
