When I️ came across Dewitt For Love‘s booth at a wedding expo, one of the photos they had displayed was of a couple on their wedding night at Taco Bell. The photos were very editorial and sophisticated, and I thought the level of skill and creative eye required to pull that off was so impressive. After chatting with them and bonding over the fact that our sons are only a few weeks old, I️ just knew I️ had to have them.

Finding the right photographer was most important; we wanted someone who made us feel comfortable and understood who we were as a couple and able to convey that in their photographs. The photographs were most important because those are the memories that we can cherish forever. We were looking for a photographer who really leaned into unique shots and wasn’t afraid to try out-of-the-box ideasI have not seen many aesthetics like our wedding.

They really seemed to reflect each of the couples’ personalities in the way they shot photography. At the time, I didn’t even know that was something a wedding photographer could do. From the moment we hired them, they just understood what we wanted, but we also trusted them to get the shot if they wanted to be experimental.

When looking for wedding photographers, I looked at their online portfolios and scheduled time to speak with them before booking. After my first phone call with Shannon, I knew immediately that I wanted to hire Dewitt for Love. She was so easy to talk to and even offered numerous other vendor recommendations. We aimed to spend most of our day just soaking in the moments, wanting images that truly reflected the genuine emotions of the day. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Dewitt for Love Photography was the perfect choice for us as our wedding photographer. We were thrilled with the album we received, with over 1,000 beautiful photos that allowed us to relive every precious moment of the day. The attention to detail and the way they captured the emotions of each moment were truly remarkable. On top of that, we received countless compliments about them from our guests, praising their professionalism and talent, reaffirming that we made the perfect choice.

We wanted to work with local vendors as much as possible and used Marry Me Tampa Bay often at the beginning of our wedding research! It was so helpful to see the list of preferred vendors, search other weddings for inspiration, and read vendor reviews from the couples. Because everything on the blog is a wedding in the Tampa Bay area, it made it easy to look through the vendors and event spaces without having to filter to see if that vendor would be available for our wedding.

As someone who dabbles in photography, we looked for a photographer who understands lighting and has experience with golden hour photo shoots, direct light, and flash photography. We wanted our photos to look editorial and someone who makes us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We had a meeting with Shannon and just knew instantly that we had found our photographer. She is so bubbly and energetic, and you can tell she loves her job and has a passion for it.

We’ve seen a ton of Tampa wedding photos while researching a photographer, and the photos that resonated most with us happened to all be shot by Dewitt for Love Photography. Their photos are editorial, emotional, and just look like art. Brandon and Shannon made us all laugh throughout the day and just made everyone feel so comfortable, especially those who aren’t usually in front of a camera. They both have an eye for placement and are able to easily direct people. We definitely found our family photographer and hope to work with them forever.

We wanted editorial photos, true to color, that showcased our personalities. Given that couples spend so much time with their photographers on one of the biggest days of their lives, it was also important for us to have a team we could vibe with, who would enhance our day and build on the experience for our guests and wedding party.

When we first reached out, she expertly walked us through the wedding process from the photography standpoint (and then some). At the end of our call, she sent us a nearly finished photography timeline (a year and an hour before the wedding), which was a lifesaver down the road. As for Brandon, his fun energy is contagious in the best way. If you want someone who will enhance the party, make everyone feel comfortable, and bring out those natural smiles, he’s your guy. We received so many compliments from our wedding party and family about how comfortable they felt with our photographers, which was really important for us.

I wanted a photographer who had an editing style that would age well—one where their colors were true to life, something timeless but not vanilla. I wanted a photographer who I knew could capture some candid moments and bring out our authentic personalities. We didn’t want super traditional poses but something that could incorporate some modern styles and our personalities as well.

Having worked with Shannon and Brandon of Dewitt For Love Photography, it was a simple decision, really. I knew they would check all the boxes and be the best people to spend the day with. After all, you do spend the most time with your photographers and videographers on your wedding day, so we wanted to feel comfortable! They have the best personalities, and it’s easy to feel like you’ve been friends with them for years after only knowing them for a short time. They were wonderful with letting us be present in the moment and not rushing onto the next photo opp, but instead letting each point breathe and just letting us be us. They made our wedding party and family so comfortable, and it just felt like we were all hanging out. When we first met the Dewitts in person for our engagement shoot, they made us feel so comfortable! It didn’t feel posed or staged, and it felt like we were on a date just hanging out on the beach (with paparazzi, haha).

Brandon and Shannon are so down to earth and truly showed they cared about us. They had us laughing the whole time. On the wedding day, they were amazing! They went above and beyond to capture the day and night, and Shannon kept me calm when we started running behind schedule. No one likes awkward photos or being posed – and Shannon and Brandon were phenomenal in how they found the best shots and made our guests feel completely at ease when being photographed.

I was lucky enough to have been a bridesmaid at a wedding that Dewitt for Love shot, and seeing Shannon’s photos, I knew they had that joie de vivre and passion for capturing special moments that I just hadn’t seen elsewhere. From day one, meeting with Shannon, we hit it off, and I was in love with their aesthetic, vibe, and of course, energy. Their service was hands down fantastic; if I could give them 100 stars, I would!

I really wanted a photographer who appreciates elegance and finds all the best angles to capture the romance. I wanted the pictures to be natural but rich; I didn’t want them to be overly cool or warm. I also wanted a team who was able to guide us through shots and make us feel confident and comfortable. We needed to capture so many parts of the wedding, and I needed a team who was familiar with the venues and working with large weddings within a reasonable budget.

Looking through Dewitt For Love‘s portfolio and the style of pictures they have taken, I knew right away that they were a match for us! It was very easy to tell them about all the dream shots and ideas we had in mind, and we also let them get creative with us! We did our engagement pictures first, and we absolutely loved them and loved the experience. It was clear to us that they could handle our wedding and that we were in safe hands. They listened carefully to our needs and concerns and realized our personalities and were able to work with those elements so easily. They also were able to add a third photographer during certain parts to fully cover the wedding. They are very accommodating and easygoing.

It was meant to be that they were able to photograph our engagement shoot in New York. They were actually here for a wedding, so we got to know them before the wedding day. They’re both really fun, have their own shooting style, and produce the most beautiful photos. All of our bridal party asked where we found them because they were so impressed with them.

We were open to suggestions. Our planner sent us a number of photographers on her preferred list, and we were able to view their portfolios.

We ultimately picked Dewitt for Love Photography because we appreciated their photography style, and they were an absolute blast to work with.

I chose our photographer based on their edits and style. I was looking for someone who had light and airy photos but who also captured the personality of the people and didn’t make them look too posed.

I chose Dewitt For Love because I knew them from other events, and I liked hanging out with them. I wanted to have fun with my photographer and wanted everyone to feel comfortable while being photographed. We had a lot of curveballs at our wedding; basically, nothing went as planned, and I thought they did a great job rolling with the punches.

I specifically chose Dewitt for Love Photography because I loved their editorial approach to wedding photography, they were always open and honest about how to approach the day and capture the best moments, and they never shot at our venue before so I loved that they brought fresh eyes to the space. We were also so happy that Dewitt for Love exceeded our expectations. We actually didn’t have an engagement shoot and Robby actually met them the day of our wedding, so I was nervous that they wouldn’t click, but they did and it went so great!

Our main goal when looking for a photographer was someone who could take the reins. Since we were planning everything ourselves, we wanted to entrust our photographer with choosing poses, backdrops, and the flow of the photos for the day.

Dewitt for Love’s photography style always reflects true colors, which as a florist is very important to me. Shannon and Brandon are some of the most genuine and talented people I have gotten the chance to work with. They have photographed weddings I have designed for in the past and consistently blow me away with their talent.

We also really wanted two shooters on camera, and when we learned they were a husband and wife team, it was game over.
