What Inspired Us to Start Our Business
Working many weddings as college students, we had the opportunity to view the DJs that worked the events. We can’t recall one DJ we’re impressed with during that time. We knew there was a market still for a company to not be so arrogant and cheesy. We started “Graingertainment”.

If Chris isn’t working, he enjoys being with his family and friends. He loves great conversation and able to connect and laugh with people. He loves his community and this adventure called life.
One thing most couples would be surprised to know is:
Chris Grainger started DJing in 2007 before founding Graingertainment in 2013. Since then, the team has expanded to include more than 20 DJs. We still get together regularly to share tips and tricks with each other to improve our set ups and sound quality, but most importantly, to ensure that our shoe game is on point. We’re all sneaker heads.
Non-wedding Passions:
Chris Grainger, our founder, is a Bucs fan who enjoys connecting through sports, but more than anything, he’s a father of two who loves nothing more than to hang with his kids and wife at home.
Kaf, his business partner, loves all things interior design. She has 4 hound dogs rescues adopted a year apart from each other after swearing each year that “this is the last pup.”

We wanted someone who could keep the energy up and keep our guests dancing all night long. Chris Grainger from Graingertainment was the perfect fit for us. Chris had everyone on the dance floor from the moment they could get on until the very last song — nobody wanted the night to end! We’ve heard from many of our guests that it was the best dance floor they’ve ever seen at a wedding. He did an amazing job with the announcements and kept everything running smoothly. The mix of music he played was perfect, and he seamlessly incorporated our requested Vietnamese songs, which made it even more personal. We also added a photo booth, uplights, and light projections, which really elevated the whole experience.

My husband took the lead on selecting Graingertainment as our vendor. Alec liked that they provided information about each DJ and ended up selecting Chris, the owner, as our DJ. Alec worked closely with him to describe his music taste and Chris was able to put together a great playlist for our wedding that my husband was very happy with. We found Graingertainment to be very responsive and accommodating. At the last minute, I decided to change one of our songs and add on music service for cocktail hour as well. Chris did a great job of reading our body language during our first dance and knew when to cut the song exactly on cue.
