Grant Hemond & Associates had wonderful reviews online, and their price point was unbeatable. I knew of others who had hired them in the past and were equally impressed, so it was a no-brainer.

Our planner recommended DJ Ben Daniele, and he nailed it! It was also his birthday on the night of our wedding, which made it that much fun.

We wanted someone who was going to keep guests on the dance floor all night and cater to guests of all ages.

When I contacted Grant Hemond, Michelle was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and concerns. The more we explained our vision, she said that Jason Tally would be the perfect fit. When we were telling our family friends about our DJ, their daughter had Jason Tally for their wedding! This was another sign that our wedding in Clearwater was meant to be!

I loved working with Grant Hemond & Associates because I literally gave them a playlist of all of our favorite songs. I marked them ‘must play,’ ‘play for dancing,’ ‘play when eating,’ etc.). The DJ totally got it! He even walked through a list of ‘do not play at any cost’ with us!

He had an incredible personality; I specifically remember feeling so nervous to give my Maid of Honor speech, and Ben checked in with me and gave me a quick pep talk before I took over the mic. We love an ode to classic soft rock songs and asked our DJ to have fun with the playlist during dinner service and to incorporate some of our favorite artists, think Billy Joel, Elton John, and Frankie Valli. We wanted someone who would keep the party going!

Our DJ, Steve, listened to both the types of songs we wanted and respected our “Do Not Play” list. He was very open to night-of-song suggestions and kept the party going. We didn’t sit down the whole night!

My most memorable moment was our last dance to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. There were a small number of guests left, and everyone was on the dance floor. My eyes were closed as Bill and I danced and sang together. When I opened my eyes, everyone had formed a circle around us and was watching as we danced. As we turned, I could see each and every face of our friends and family. The love and happiness on their faces were completely overwhelming, and for the first time that day, I cried. Later I learned that DJ Jody had orchestrated the “circle of love” around us.

We wanted a DJ who wasn’t afraid to play anything and everything. We wanted to make sure all of our guests were on the dance floor all night long. Grant Hemond and Associates was recommended by our venue as one of their preferred vendors.

We wanted wedding vendors who would thrive on creative control. With a few guidelines, we gave James King free rein over everything. We’re paying him to do what he does best, and we had complete faith in that, just as long as we did not hear the Cha Cha Slide or the Cupid Shuffle, we were on board for anything. Our music range was so vast that I’m pretty sure we had an ‘Emo Cocktail Hour’ with Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance.

Grant Hemond & Associates came highly recommended from our venue. Michelle Norman was incredibly responsive and straightforward with how their booking process worked. James King absolutely blew us away. He was incredibly receptive to our music personalities during our initial call and offered up suggestions for songs and overall vibes. On the day of, he always made sure JT and I had a drink in our hands and checked in with us throughout the night to ensure we loved the ambiance.
